Snow Horizon

Olivier was the kindest and most hospitable host you could ask for. He picked us up from the station with all of our bags and personally drove us to the slopes every day (including to mountains beyond Happo-One). We were in constant communication every day and he made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to have a superb time. He even took us grocery shopping?? The accomodation itself was newly renovated and absolutely beautiful. Our room was triple-insulated and had an italian-engineered wood pellet fireplace so we were toasty. The village was less than 10 minutes away by foot and the nearest gondola was about 15 minutes (however Olivier drove us as mentioned before). Snow Horizon was one of the best parts of our trip!

We loved our stay here, it was a beautiful property that was recently renovated. Everything was new, it was in a great location and the facilities were perfect. The place was warm and was perfect for the 7 of us! Oliver the host really accommodated us perfectly and treated us with excellent hospitality. It had a perfect system for ski gear and a dry room downstairs so that we could easily put our gear on before we would start skiing. We were very lucky to get this place when we did as it was fresh on the market and I do not think that it would be free for much longer. I cannot recommend it enough for a group if you want to go skiing in Hakuba and Oliver has great recommendations !!! Thank you for our stay, without Oliver there it would not have been close to the same experience that we had, he gave the royalty treatment and we love him for it

Our stay at Snow Horizon was phenomenal. Our host, Olivier, took care of us from the moment we arrived in Hakuba, helping us to have a smooth and thoroughly enjoyable stay. The facilities were excellent with our room being clean, comfy and modern. I cannot recommend Snow Horizon anymore highly, it truly is one of the best places to stay in Hakuba!

Beautifully renovated and conveniently located within walking distance of Happo One ski resort and restaurants/bars in town. Oliver is a fantastic and friendly host who goes out of his way to ensure your stay is perfect. From rides to the slopes to expert advice to impromptu ski lessons, couldn’t have asked for a better host and a better family vacation.

It was very clean, spacious and with top the range appliances and equipment. The apartment was warm and cozy and the beds were super comfortable. The location was excellent as it was only a short walk into town and next to the shuttle to the various slopes. The ski equipment room was spacious and functional. Overall it exceeded all of our expectations.

Wow, where do I even begin? Our stay at Snow Horizon was absolutely incredible—truly a highlight in our family's extensive travel adventures. As seasoned travelers, we've come to expect a certain level of comfort and hospitality, but what we found here exceeded all expectations. Despite booking last-minute, we were fortunate enough to secure a spot, and let me tell you, it was a stroke of luck we'll forever be grateful for. From the moment we made contact with Mr. Olivier, the host, we knew we were in for something special. Not only did he maintain impeccable standards in the accommodation, but his warmth and kindness were genuinely unmatched. Our journey from Tokyo to Hakuba was a bit of a trek, with our arrival pushing into the late hours of the evening. Yet, Mr. Olivier was there every step of the way, checking in on us during our drive and offering invaluable tips for our journey. Upon finally reaching Snow Horizon, weary from travel, our exhaustion melted away the instant we were greeted by Mr. Olivier's infectious smile. He wasted no time in making us feel right at home, especially our little ones, aged 7 and 9. With a playful romp in the snow and boundless enthusiasm, he set the tone for what would be a magical stay. Entering our cozy abode, we were met with nothing short of perfection. The attention to detail was astounding—from the fully-equipped kitchen (complete with a dishwasher and coffee machine) to the inviting living space boasting an elegant Italian-style fireplace. And let's not forget the bedrooms, where the promise of a restful night's sleep awaited, thanks to the top-notch latex mattresses. But the magic didn't stop there. Knowing it was our girls' first encounter with snow and skiing, Mr. Olivier took it upon himself to give them—and even myself—a crash course in hitting the slopes. His patience and expertise transformed what could have been a daunting experience into a joyful adventure.
