Savet Family Homestay & Tour

If you want a true Cambodia experience with a fabulous local guide then you must stay here. We had two nights in this beautiful homestay with a lovely family who gave us such a warm welcome. They have two fabulous bamboo homes each with an en-suite with hot and cold showers and a lovely veranda where you can relax and enjoy their beautiful gardens. The huts have good working fans to keep you cool during the day and night, they provide you with towels and even a toothbrush and toothpaste! There’s a mosquito net above the bed which is perfect for a good nights sleep in their comfy beds. A delicious breakfast of eggs and fruit is included in the price which is such good value. Savet the owner is a tour guide and he will go above and beyond to make sure your visit meets your needs. He is extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much from him, and he certainly enhanced our tours of the area. He was willing and offered to take us anywhere we wanted and always shared a story on the way. A highlight for us was the personal tour of his village and being able to walk the local market with him and his wife and help them both prepare a typical Cambodian dish which we ate altogether. This homestay for us was one of the best experiences we have ever had and we would say it is a must stay for at least two nights if you are visiting Battambang.

There is nothing to dislike, this is a perfect homestay with an amazing host

Savet and Anna were extremely welcoming. The little hut that we had was so sweet, very comfortable bed, a mosquito net and our own balcony. Breakfast was served on our balcony and included fresh fruit from the garden. The only reason I haven't put exceptional for the location was because it was out of town in a rural location, which we prefer, big it does mean that tuk tuks are needed if you want to go out in the evening. Savet speaks excellent English and we learnt a lot from him. He gave us a tour of his village on bicycles, and Anna taught us to cook Cambodian style food after we had been with them to the local market to buy the ingredients. We would thoroughly recommend staying at this homestay if you are wanting to yourself in the culture, it's great value for money

Bring ear plugs, the insects and ghekos are very loud during the night!

Very easy to recommend, an incredible homestay with an incredibly kind host. The rooms are cosy and the beds are soft. No air con needed as the fans did the job perfectly well. The host will organise transport and tours for you and go into detail about the local culture and environment. I would recommend this honesty to anyone that is staying in the Battambang area.

This place is a paradise! I loved my days here and wished I stayed longer. Saveet and his family are great hosts and helped me with everything I needed during my stay. Super recommended!

My wife and I stayed with Mr. Savet and his family for a weekend. The location of his house is perfect, tucked away between rice fields and farms. Absolutely beautiful. Our hut was very clean and comfortable with three fans and a lovely big mosquito net over the bed. Mr Savet and his family were extremely warm and welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay amazing. They fetched us from the bus station and helped transport us to all the places of interest. Mr Savet even took us for a drive through his village. This was our favourite part. The village is hidden among trees and farmland. His wife made us wonderful breakfast as well. This place is a hidden gem!

Our stay here was amazing. We unfortunately could just stay for one night. The provided mosquito net was the best we had during our Cambodia trip. The garden is amazing and breakfast was delicious. Having breakfast on the little terrace of the bungalow was great. The bungalow is built with a lot of attention to detail. The city is easy reachable via tuktuk in 10 minutes.

Nice little villagehouse naar the citycenter. The ouders are wonderful, fantastic dinners, brought us everywhere we wanted and gave us a nice tour through his beautifull village. He told us many interesting stories. Battambang is a lovely authentic city, People are warm and friendly, nice things to doe (bambootrain, cycling, nice old citycenter and more). We loved our stay there!!!

It was a pity that we had to leave after 3 nights!

Everything ! It was my best stay in Cambodia, the family is the kindest family I have met! They will do everything to make you happy ! The bungalow is super clean and confortable,the terrasse is a maxi bonus where they serve the breakfast. I highly recommend the place, near all the activities and if you want to go to the city they can easily drive you there.

It was a beautifully made and furnished bamboo hut. Savet and his family were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were really good and they made us an early breakfast on our departure. Savet took us on an interesting bike tour around the visit and organised tuk tuk trips with his friends.

The mattress was a bit uncomfortable.

It is really one of the best places we stayed at during our trip in Cambodia. Savet and his family are truly amazing! Highly recommended!
