Tartaruga Beach Unawatuna

Great beach side location and excellent staff. Excellent choice of bars and restaurants along the beach.

Small and intimate hotel where you are not just a number. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. Very clean and modern look. Our toddler loved the swimming pool. The breakfast every morning was good with a nice sea view, but would prefer a bigger variety of food. But in general the food was good and our toddler loved the fresh fruit every morning.

The beach has a good access to the ocean, no waves, suitable for swimming. Sun beds, towels included, beach bar... all you need. We had a standard room, big enough, clean, with fan and A/C. The staff is cleaning the whole area constantly, very friendly and helpful. Sri Lankan and continental breakfast.

Once we paid to upgrade our room, the room was lovely.

Do not bother if you get the cheaper room. It was awful. It felt like you were walking into the back of the kitchen.

Rooms are spacious, we had a sea view balcony, amazing. All the staff are very accommodating from reception to breakfast to bar to beach and housekeeping. The pool was a massive addition as didn’t see another hotel on the beach which had one. Loved the the turtle coming onto the beach infront of the hotel one evening and laying her eggs - what a special moment.

Nothing, would definitely return

Location was fantastic, staff was courteous & friendly. Comfortable bed, mostly the Ocean was wonderful. Hotel is right on the Beach.

Everything was good except there were a few shortcomings in the room. But nothing much to complain

The budget room really is not worth the price, they ask for so we took an upgrade (the budget room is what I know from back packer Hostels but then I didnt spend 100 bucks per night). Breakfast buffet has everything, you look for but feels a bit "demotivated". In total our stay feld quite overpriced
