Sentrim Elementaita Lodge

Die Sentrim Elementaita Lodge ist eine tolle parkähnliche Resort Anlage direkt am Seeufer des Lake Elementaita gelegen. Untergebracht ist man in luxuriösen großzügigen Chalets mit großen Betten, viel Platz und einem schönen Badezimmer. Wir waren im Juli dort, eher eine kühlere Zeit, und das Wetter war leider auch nicht sehr gut, so dass wir weder die Aussicht auf den MSee und die dahinter liegenden Berge, noch den Swimming Pool voll genießen konnten. Das Abendessen bestand aus einem umfangreichen Buffet mit internationalen Gerichten, so dass für alle Gäste und jeden Geschmack etwas Leckeres dabei war. Live Cooking mit Flambieren und Geburtstagsständchen der Köche inklusive. Zum Frühstück gab es ebenso ein Buffet, das keine Wünsche offen ließ. Der Service war von a-z hervorragend; Besonders der Concierge ist ein unglaublich freundlicher, hilfsbereiter und zuvorkommender Mensch, so wie man sich den besten Concierge der Welt halt eben vorstellt.

Die Anfahrt von der Überlandstraße runter an den See ist landesüblich (Piste mit vielen tiefen Schlaglöchern). Kein Problem für unseren Land Cruiser, aber das würde man für ein Ressort dieser Klasse nicht erwarten.

Everything was perfect. The food was great, nice bar, the facilities were exceptional, but most of all I loved the staff. They went out of their way to make sure we everything. Especially Charles! He went over and above, Mary at the restaurant as well.

The road leading to the hotel needs some repairs.

The location is great, a bit pricey but worth it.

At places like these, the swimming pools should be heated so that this facility can be enjoyed. The Booking.com website stated that the check in and checkout was flexible but the checkout actually was not flexible. We were asked to check out at 10:00 am which is quite early but we negotiated and the staff was kind enough to extend until 11:00 am. However in places like these, checkout should be flexible because its a resort and its faraway from the city!

The staff is incredibly helpful and courteous. Special mention to Charles, Maxmillian, and Winnie/Winnie at the restaurant. Rooms are spacious. Right in front of the lake. Lovely views.

Basic options for vegetarians and Indian cuisine despite the fact that max guests were Indians.
