I wasn't told the property is not attended. Tried to do the online boarding pass process but did not work - could not do the ID portion. Kept telling Annabelle but she wasn't listening. Never told me that unless I complete the process we can't get in. We were stuck on the sidewalk, on the phone with her and no solution. Went next door to the Sebel. Will be lodging a claim for reimbursement. Please consider we are 80 years old. My wife has a slight mobility problem, so being stuck on the sidewalk after a flight from Christchurch is totally unacceptable.

Great, busy location with bars, restaurants and walks around the harbour. Lovely bath to relax in!

Location

The property is in a good spot, it looks out over the viaduct harbour and there are lots of restaurants and bars in the surround buildings. Generally clean and the kitchen is quite well appointed given that it’s quite small. There were a few maintenance issues that needed attending to that were attended to in a reasonably timely fashion.

The process to collect the keys is a bit clunky, you’ve got to go to another location to collect the keys from a lockbox. It’s not far away but it would be far more convenient if you could access them onsite. There were two dirty mugs on the bench when we arrived. The sofa in the room is very stained, we didn’t use it as it seemed a bit gross. The door handle/lock to the balcony had been damaged and no longer had a lock. It was fixed the day after we notified staff that it was the case but it should have been noticed by the cleaning staff. The dishwasher didn’t work which was a hassle because it was full of dishes which we couldn’t wash by hand as there was no plug for the sink and no tea-towels provided. We were told that it just needed to be reset and I got the impression that we were being annoying by bringing these things up.

It was very clear the instructions and location was easy to find. I will admit my lock box would not open but then when i called within 5 seconds my call was answered and i was given a new lock box number and this one opened straight away. i was really happy with the service and help.

Felt safe and secure within the apartment building. Loved the step by step instructions provided on the facilities website which made check in and out seemless. Loved the interior design of the apartment and the view!

The area was very local to the viaduct which was great, we probably would book a different room next time as the bar HQ below was very loud until early hours of the morning.
