Artists house

The family host is the best! The house has such a cozy and familiar energy that you understand when you get to meet them. They are so nice and welcoming that make you feel home. The areas of the house are great, clean and comfy.

We loved it all that much that we extended our stay.

Started our Mauritius holiday in the west,Tamarin/Black River, and have made a very good decision about our first “home” during the trip. It truely felt like home as we got part of Diane’s & Stephan’s (the hosts) family for our day’s staying there. Their house/garden/pool is lovely and we could use all facilities together with them, like the fantastic kitchen, living room, washing machine and so on. The Artist House is lying very close to several nice restaurants, very close to a huge supermarket London Way and the local beach is in 5 minute walking distance. A rented car will allow to visit the local attractions more easy, but the bus station is so near and using bus always worked fine. Stephan is a Chef and we cooked a tuna that we brought from fishing absolutely brilliant. We can fully recommend this place.

The owners are really welcoming and helpful. It is well situated for travelers wanting to explore the island. As a solo female traveler it was perfect since it did feel like a safe environment to go through and from. This booking is also well suited for families since it has 2 rooms.

Diane and Stephane are absolutely lovely hosts. It is such a homely place and you feel at comfortable and welcome from the moment you step in through the door. The room was very spacious, there is a little fridge and kettle in the room and coffee/tea, the facilities are great, it is clean. Diane and Stephane were always available for lovely chats and great recommendations. We felt so comfortable there and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a home away from home.

Everything was perfect!

Diane, Stephane, Ruben (and buddy Elias) and the absolutely cutest dog Fluffy made my stay at their home truly a home away from home. The location is great; very central, the room perfect, their hospitality second to none. I can absolutely recommend staying here and hope to stay with them again.

Nothing not to like.

The hosts were really friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for swimming, hiking in the National Park and enjoying the sunsets.

It is very close to the beach, which has stunning sunshine. Diana is too nice to welcome us and allow me to take a shower after check out hour when I was soaked in sea water. Stephane even gave us a ride to the beach very early in the morning. I recommend Artists House to everyone!
