Artists house

The house is full of nice artistic details. My room was decorated with beautiful paintings and the bed was very comfortable. I really enjoyed the balcony and the pool. But best of all is the family who welcomed me into their house and made me feel like I was at home. The hosts were very attentive, offering me a coconut while I was in the pool, or sharing a dinner with the family.

The location was perfect, walking distance to the beach and to a grocery store as well as good restaurants. The hosts Diane and Stefan were so friendly and welcoming. Our room was perfect size with ample cupboard space and a microwave in the room which was perfect for traveling with a toddler and early morning bottle. We loved everything about our stay at Artist House and will definitely be back.

Everything was wonderful, we enjoyed it. A very friendly family. We miss. The place is close to everything - the beach (with tree shade), bus, shop, hairdresser :-).

Room was well equipped - milk in fridge, coffee & tea, sugar, glasses & cups & utensils, on tray on cabinet, plates & bowls on cabinet shelves, purified water from special machine in kitchen, Bed was elegant & comfortable, linen was very nice, and furniture (wardrobes & dresser) were elegant & very adequate 2) balcony & garden/pool view 3) flat screened tv with Netflix opposite bed installed by host - was installed to brighten a rainy day! 4) closeness to beach & Supermarket, bus stops, 5) style of the villa 6) Christmas decorations 7) quiet 8) friendliness & attention of the hosts Stephane & Diane and their young son Ruben, & their pet dog Fluffy! 9) paintings by Maryse Hardy, mother of Stephane! & good artistic atmosphere (opportunity to enrich one’s musical culture- i was able to get a ticket to a hristmss Concert thanks to the hostess Diane who teaches music and is a professional singer) & Very relaxing cultural conversations about Mauritius with gourmet & artistic Chef Stephane! 10) good neighbourhood, good environment

The house is ideally located, close to bus stations, the beach and nice restaurants/coffee places. It is also located in a very calm street and it feels like a real home.
