Casa Miralago

The host was incredibly helpful with anything we needed. Lovely view of Lake Como from the balcony. The apartment was lovely and clean, and we had all the facilities we needed.

It's about a 10 - 15 min walk into Menaggio itself, which is where all the shops, restaurants, and facilities are, which was fine, until it comes time to leave. You need to get yourself and luggage to Menaggio to leave either by ferry or bus. Not well serviced by taxis or Ubers.

Location by the lakeshore so you can hear the water splashing on the shore.

Beds and lounge were very hard and uncomfortable.

So hot and uncomfortable in the third floor apartment and no air conditioning ( as advertised it had)

We had apartment #5 which was very spacious itself and had a great big terrace (30sqm+) offering a staggering view over the Como lake. Location is not in in central Menaggio, however one can get there (Conad city supermarlet, city centre, ferry port) in 15min by walk or 3 mins by car (Conad has a dedicated parking lot, rest of Menaggio is difficult to park in). About 200m from the apartment is a boat/scooter rental provider (Rent Menaggio) which we do recommend. Renting a boat on the Como lake is a must-have experience. Bellagio and Varenna are easily reachable by ferry or passenger boats. We really enjoyed the apartment, especially evenings sitting at the terrace, playing games with kids and watching sunset over the lake was unforgettable.

Just 2 little things: the shower box was really small (50x50cm ?) and the water temperature was unstable, floating from warm to coldish.

The view is stunning, the apartments are well connected to the local facilities and the hosts are so helpful and attentive. The access to bikes and water sports equipment really added to the experience of being on the lake.

There is nothing at all that we didn’t like!

On the coast of Lake Como, own beach, some 1km from downtown Menaggio so a good place to reach Menaggion and from there other places via the ferries. Right by the road but no noise. Bikes and some kayaks available for free, have not used. Large/long balcony, looking out onto the lake; decent kitchen area, large living room. Simple but sufficient.

Room/appartment was huge but its organisation not really handy, should there be more than 2 guests, as the one and only bathroom is accessible only from the only bathroom so any other guests who could stay in the huge main room woudl have to come through. But very much OK for two. Also putting something (pictures, etc.) on the walls would make the place even nicer.

Property was perfect for a week long stay. Host was quick to respond and very accommodating. Apartment was fully equipped with everything that you needed. Spacious bedroom and living room. Large balcony with fantastic views of the lake and mountains. 10 min walk into town or use the free bicycles - half the route is on a private pedestrian path. Downtown area is small but cozy with lovely views and you’re away from the hustle and bustle of the more popular towns. Close to hiking trails too!

I was working remote and the Wifi had difficulty handling video calls. Other than that really lovely stay.

Overall amazing experience and host. Great Bed.

Lights in alley and One Bedroom need to be fixed. Pans are overused and too thin for boiling milk or proper cooking. Lighting can be improved.
