Superior Apartment Catania

Very spacious and very high ceiling gave you the indication of a lot of space in the room and very good location near everything

Clean and lots of space

The apartment itself was very nice, spacious, clean and quiet. The host was very nice and met us on arrival and kept in touch with us throughout the visit. The location was very close to streets with a lot of night life.

The alleyway where the entrance to the apartment was located was very dirty and badly lit. The long stairs (51 steps) leading up to the apartment were not very clean and it didn’t give the feel of a holiday apartment, rather someone’s home which was not very well looked after. Carrying a heavy suitcase up and down those 51 steps was not great. In fact it was quite hard.

Giuseppe was a great host, always very communicative and offering assistance at all times. The property was amazing- very spacious, decor was great and it contained everything required for a very comfortable stay. Location was perfect also- close to restaurants, shops and sights.

The location and ability to walk from the bus stop for the Alibus for the airport was brilliant. As always, Giuseppe communicated clearly and directly with us in the most polite manner

What a beautiful ceiling and lovely decorated flat. It is great to come back from a day exploring to this lovely place. And host is very helpful and provided great tips to nearby restaurants and authentic places.

Very well located close to Via Etna and very confortable flat, spacious and bright. Efficient air-conditioning system.

Lighting is a bit strong in the living room, softer light would give a nicer atmosphere… but only a detail, the rest is excellent !

The apartment is nice and clean, and centrally located in the heart of Catania. The host, Giuseppe, was extremely helpful, providing priceless directions for parking and places to eat and visit. He also tries everything possible to resolve the issue with the air conditioning.

The size of the apartment with a very high ceiling and an exceptional heatwave made our stay not comfortable, as the air conditioning (AC) unit was not able to cool the apartment well enough to make it comfortable. In my opinion, the unit was not powerful enough for the whole apartment (it was not even powerful enough for the main room it was located in, even after closing the door of the room, to prevent the cool air to leave the room, and closing all shades of the windows to prevent the air in the room to get heated by the sunlight) - two AC units with the same specs would have been needed (or a much more powerful AC unit). The extreme heat wave surely did not help, and it may have been that the AC unit had some unanticipated failure caused by the heatwave itself. Either way, the high temperature in the apartment made our short stay uncomfortable. I would definitely book the apartment again in the future (indeed a beautiful apartment), but not during the hottest summer months.
