Kurumba Lodge

De locatie van de lodge is super met mooie uitzichten én dicht bij ingang van het Nationaal Park. De kamer en badkamer zijn eenvoudig, maar precies wat wij verwachten. De familie is heel aardig en het eten is heerlijk.

Grote kamer met twee grote bedden, goede airco, lekker eten. Lief dat de vrouw des huizes verwelkomt met een sapje! Goede picknick mee voor op safari. Goed geregeld.

Wifi vaak zwak Middle of nowhere Ontbijt met witte boterhammen met ei met groente uit tostiapparaat met koffie of thee. Beetje kaal.

Wij kwamen wat later in de avond aan doordat we vertraging hadden onderweg met onze tuktuk. We werden heel lief ontvangen door de familie en voelden ons heel welkom en fijn. Eten was ook erg lekker!

Het enigste is dat het bed een beetje hard was.

Habitaciones grandes, con aire acondicionado, limpias y cama grande y cómoda. Ducha con buena presión y agua caliente. Piscina muy limpia. Restaurante con precios muy buenos y porciones grandes. Personal muy amable. Tara la dueña es muy servicial, te ofrece visitar Mihintale y todo Anuradhapura por un precio muy muy bueno. En los días que estuve alojada ingresaron a mi hija en el hospital. Tara fue mi ángel. Me ayudó con todo lo que estuvo en su mano e incluso me mandó comida al hospital. Me hizo sentir segura y en familia, una calidad humana abrumadora.

A nice stay at Kurumba Lodge! The room and bathroom are basic, but had everything we needed. The family are very welcoming. Most of the communication goes trough their young son, who speaks English very well and is super friendly! They arranged our safari, including breakfast and lunch.

The first night there was a lot of noice from the farmers doing some work at night on the fields next to the house. But the second night everything was peaceful again.

Moc hezké ubytování nedaleko národního parku. V ubytovani nám zajistili celodenní i půldenní safari. Viděli jsme spoustu zvířat. Pani domácí vařila moc dobrá jídla. Celkově tu na nás bylo všichni moc milí, nic nebyl problém.

The family hosting this hotel is super friendly and helps with everything. Whenever we had a wish, they did everything. They took us for free to the city and helped so much to buy post cards and deliver them correctly. Additionally, they arranged a very good safari with lunch included for a very fair price. The nature around the lodge is super beautiful and it is just nice to stay at this place. Additionally, we've got a lot of delicious juices for free and they offered vegan friendly lunch, breakfast and dinner. In conclusion, this was on of the best accomodations we had in Sri Lanka and I can definetly recommend to stay there.

A stay at Kurumba is a lovely, relaxed way to see Wilpattu. Kurumba has just 2 comfortable lodges with a beautiful view over the rice fields. The terrace has a table and chairs where you get your meals. The food is homemade and delicious and the beer cold. We had Sri Lankan breakfast and the lunch the lodge packed for our safari was a lovely curry. The evening meal was delicious too. The family is so kind and you feel very well looked after. They booked our safari, which was fantastic and we saw 2 leopards, elephants and a sloth bear as well as many more birds and animals. I'd recommend the village walk which the lovely sons took us on. We picked fruit and learned lots about the countryside. Also, book a night safari with the lodge. We had an amazing night and the whole family came with us in the jeep. They were great at spotting animals and the driver got us really close. We saw civits, fishing cats, a jackal, jungle cat and mouse deer. Overall, our stay was the highlight of our holiday.
