Many mosquitos in the room when we arrived. We bought our own mosquito spray. Toilet was leaking. Lot of tiny poops in the room from small animals like salamander, we don't like this.

NLPrima kamer met airco en lekker bed. Prachtig uitzicht over bij ons groene rijstvelden. Aan de rand van het Wilpattu park Famillie kookt, regelt safari en verzorgt dan ontbijt en lunch mee. Wij genoten van de rust en het authentieke Srilanka.
Niets! Wij vonden de hele dag safari wel een beetje lang. 10 uur stuiteren in een jeep. Wij hebben geen luipaard gezien helaas maat sommige mensen wel. De natuur is prachtig de diversiteit en hoeveelheid dieren iets minder. Halve dag is zeker de moeite waard!
DEVery friendly and helpful staff. The lodge is located at rice fields with a great view. The food was good. Best thing about it was the safari. Our driver was great, very sensitive with the animals and had a good feeling for our wishes. He spoke good english so there was no need for a guide.
The lodge is very basic, no furniture besides the bed and one table. Sadly there were a lot of animals inside the room and the bathroom (mosquitos, frogs and a spider)

GBWe stayed at Kurumba lodge for 2 nights and couldn’t fault our experience. The homestay is situated in a beautiful area of the national park, we were able to see so much wildlife on our doorstep. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner all made fresh by the family. The night safari that they took us on was amazing, we saw a wild fishing cat (very rare), elephants and crocodiles.

DESehr gemütliche Unterkunft, etwas weit außerhalb der Zivilisation, aber in der Lodge bekommt man alles, was man braucht. Das Frühstück war etwas dürftig, das Dinner lecker, aber preislich teuer. Insgesamt aber zu empfehlen, liegt mitten in der Natur, vor der Veranda sind Reisfelder.
NLLovely tiny lodge with a view over the rice paddies. The family is very kind and helpful. Since you're very close to Wilpattu National Park, there's not much around. So the family arranges breakfast and dinner at the porch in front of the room. They also arranged a full day safari for us, with private jeep, breakfast and lunch. We really enjoyed our stay and 1 evening we even had an elephant passing by the place! Would really recommend this place of you're planning for a safari in Wilpattu.
IELovely property hosted by a family. We had lovely breakfast and dinner served both nights looking over the rice paddies! Bed was comfortable. AC cold and wifi good for Sri Lanka! The accommodation was perfect for us a couple who have been hostel and home stay hopping across Asia! The location is very rural which is just what we needed after hectic days of safari which was arranged by Kurumba lodge and they provided water, breakfast and lunch for us! Thanks so much we loved our stay!
