The lobby where the receptionist is was very hot. I felt bad for the receptionist who also appeared to be overwhelmed

Reception area was extremely hot and only one receptionist who was dealing with different things at the same time delaying the check in process. He seemed very overwhelmed. Very poor wifi in room on the second floor.

pool and room, clean and big

We had no power for the first night as there was an outage somewhere, apparently this is not un common in Bacalar but there was no backup plan in place. 1 hair dryer to share between all the rooms

I liked the location, it was walking distance to everything, that’s a plus for me. The rooms were beautiful, huge and very clean. I didn’t get to use the pool, but I liked that my room faced the pool, although I had a direct gate to the pool from my balcony but they told me it had to stay locked and I had to walk around.

I didn’t like the fact it didn’t have breakfast but 2 min from the hotel there’s a lovely cafe. I hate to complain about the hair dryer, but one hairdryer for the whole hotel is a bit extreme. I used to carry my hair dryer but when I travel with a backpack I don’t have the space. They had a bit of misunderstanding with my payment but it seemed to be resolved. Now the bed and the pillows were too hard, and too uncomfortable.
