Great experience in authentic local village. It’s a few km or miles from the main tourist town so it’s probably best to have a motorcycle. It’s a fantastic location right on the bay near a world class reef. Rooms are basic but clean and quite comfortable, hosts are friendly and helpful and hostess makes a great omelette.

Simple, yet comfortable and clean. It was quiet and I had an amazing view from my window. Vilma and Romel were always so nice! They got plenty of drinking water for me, there was always hot water for tea or coffee and they let me use their kayak to paddle around the bay and Siete Pecados marine park. They took me to town to go on my body trips and arranged for my shuttle to the airport. I definitely recommend their homestay.

Le logement est à l’extérieur de la ville au bord de la mer dans un petit village authentique.

Vilma y su familia fueron muy acogedores, te recogen en el puerto y te ayudan para todo en tu estancia. Los desayunos con huevos caseros. Poder descubrir el pueblo de Maquinit y tener 7 pecados al lado, nosotros fuimos en kayak y genial. Solo hay un sitio para comer en el pueblo, la pizzería Ino, muy buena y muy recomendable (comimos ahi los 3 dias, también te lleva las pizzas al alojamiento si quieres). Nos hicieron la colada y la ropa quedó muy bien.

Lo digo como crítica constructiva. Las instalaciones se pueden mejorar. Baño compartido sin agua caliente, la bomba de agua va con un generador y hay que conectar y desconectar un enchufe que se encuentra fuera de la casa. El agua sale con un poco de olor a óxido. Se podría mejorar la limpieza de baño y habitaciones. La habitación es calurosa y solo hay un ventilador. Esta a unos 15 minutos en tuktuk de Coron, 200 pesos, aunque hay un tramo de camino de tierra y no nos animamos a coger moto nosotros.

Staying at this hostel is the best experience in Coron. The family’s welcome is wonderful — it’s the authentic local life. I only stayed for two days, and I left wanting to come back and spend more time with them. It’s far from the center, but if you talk to the owners, they can arrange tuk-tuks at a very good price. They also organized transport from the airport for me at an excellent price. I’d recommend talking to them before coming, because they can give you advice about activities. There’s no air conditioning, but the rooms have fans. From the yard you walk straight onto the beach, where you can catch a boat tour to Los Siete Pecados in just 5 minutes. Highly recommended. The owners were amazing! Their food was delicious and they were so friendly! Best deals on tuktuks and motorbike rentals, and you’re walking distance to some kayaking and snorkeling spots. Worth staying here!

We enjoyed our stay a lot! The hosts are so welcoming and kind, they sorted tours and buses for us. It is a 15 mins ride from town but it's nice to be by the beach and away from the tourist centre. Plus you're close to snorkeling and the hot springs. We booked the super ultimate tour which was amazing and wed recommend however don't rent kayaks on it the 1000 pesos was way too much and you really don't need them despite what they say. Much better to rent it at the homestay.

It was very hot! Obviously nothing to be done about it and we managed with just a fan at night but good to know!

This is a unique opportunity to experience a homestay with a family in a village environment. The hosts Romel and Vilma are the most humble, caring and helpful people. They explain all the tours and even accompany you to the harbour for the start of your tour. The Siete Pecados Marine Park is a highlight and is literally minutes away. Vilma is a good cook and we enjoyed our dinners there The pizza place next door makes very good pizzas. There is a communal fridge which is always stocked.up with water and beers. The place, including the shared bathrooms, is super clean. The people living in the village are very friendly and always happy to give you a smile and say hello.

Do not come here expecting a resort, stay in Coron town for that. There is a fan, but no air conditioning.. It is basic accommodation but the bed is comfortable. and the room an ok size.
