Rovi Homestay

Fantastic place, located away from the busy and noisy town center. It is situated in a local village, picturesque and authentic, close to Siete Pecados, a fabulous snorkeling site. Romel and his wife have been the best hosts, taking excellent care of us and organising every activity we wanted. They were really doing everything to offer us the best stay. The homestay is clean and quiet. Some people seems to be unhappy about the confort and equipements but I find this very unfair given the very affordable price. I would recommand to every traveller looking for an authentic experience with beautifull nature at the door.

We kept rolling to the centre of the bed, matres needed support | Cold showers | Toilet cistern lid cracked | Toilet cistern flush valve operated by fishing wire which often did not work| Curtain eyelet freyed | Hand basin pipe was coming at way from wall | WiFi was pay as you go - | There seemed to zero maintenance being carried out | Isolated from Coron Township | No TV or mini fridge or wardrobe in the room - Consider installing a large communal fridge in a common area for the use of all guests to keep their food & drinks cold. No ceiling fan or air conditioner Recommend raise the accommodation cost by 1000p/night & spend all of it on maintenance

really friendly family!!! i love them! the have an amazing breakfast for 150 pesos as well! it's right beside the marine sanctuary and i love that place, so great for free diving and beauty!!! that alone makes everything else worth it the bed was great, the shower / toilet was clean and great, no complaints for food options there's an ok pizza place and she serves lunch/dinner upon request (adobo for 250, which was tasty and comforting)

they do not have wifi and you have to put coins into a piso box beside the door, which only works in the main area not in our room, i think the other rooms did have wifi, the whole town has no signal with globe the room was HOT, if you are the type who gets really warm you will have a pretty bad time, i think you guys should upgrade the fans or find a way to circulate the air because i was dying lol also the walls are razor thin i was hearing the convos of the people in the next room distinctly, no real issue you just gotta hope ppl fall asleep early or yell at em xD like other people said i think it's probably better to rent a scooter so you have more freedom and can come back to this small little town, the 100 pesos each person for the tricycle adds up and is annoying (it is easy to book though in the mornings) all things considered i would probably still rate this place a solid 8, a nice PH local experience away from all the coron town BS

Lovely homestay in a small village. Romel and Vilma are wonderful, caring hosts. They help you with information, laundry, book tickets for you and much more without being intrusive. I rented a canoe and enjoyed one of the most beautiful snorkeling, siete pecados, that is just a few paddel strokes away. Piso WiFi is good and allowed me to work on my notebook. Rooms and shared bathrooms are basic but clean. It's a homestay and not a four star hotel after all. Also try the delicious pizza in front of the homestay!

Excellent! The husband and wife hosts are some of the most wonderful Filipinos that you will ever have the privilege of meeting. They will organise anything that you need. Two real highlights are living in their village and getting to know the family, AND the best snorkeling spot on the island is just a few rows away by kayak. Regarding the rooms, there are four adjoining ones, with two shared toilets and showers. It never felt pre-occupied and attracts the kind of traveler who appreciates the kind of experience it offers. The hot springs are also just a short walk away. Go early, and return again with the same ticket in the evening! Loved it.

If you're booking this place, you won't go wrong, but you need to first understand the concept of a homestay. Imagine yourself as part of a local family. Their home is your home. While you have your privacy in a private room, you will share showers and toilets with your fellow travelers. It's no biggie. The location is in a small fishing village about 20 mins from Coron Town Proper. And again, you will be treated like family. The beds were comfy (which resulted in epic rest post action packed packed days). The operators (your new family), Wilma and Romel and superstars! They're the truest definition of a super host. Anything and every you need they will go out of their way to assist in the best way possible, from arranging private tours to getting into town. They got you. Trust me. When booking this homestay I was shook by its positive reviews and now I understand why.

Located along a beach 🏖️ just a few steps away from Siete Pecados (the best snorkeling we have ever experienced).. Rovi Homestay and its hosts is truly a wonderful experience. What makes Rovi great is that the owners are present and having other tourists to chat with. Wilma’s cooking is excellent and the homemade pizza next door is outstanding. Relax with the sound of the ocean as the local children play and laugh, shoot some hoops at the basketball court, or rent a kayak and explore the incredible Maine park. The hot springs in the morning is great with shaded mangroves and later in the evening after the sun goes down.. thank you so much for making us feel at home, we look forward to returning:)

Wilma and Romel are wonderful hosts , their home is located a few steps from the beautiful coral reef of Siete Pecados Marine Park . They are very helpful in organizing trips and excursions . Homestay offers everything you need for your trip. Once again thank you for everything Mai and Wojciech.
