Club Wyndham Shirakabaso Shigakogen

I really enjoyed my stay at Club Wyndham Shirakabaso Shigakogen. Everything was super easy. The front desk staff was very helpful. The breakfast and dinners included were nothing extravagant, but they were good each day and had plenty of food if you wanted to fill up. There are not really any other restaurants or stores in the Shigakogen area at least that I am aware of, so the 2x meals a day was essential! The hotel is equipped with pretty much everything you would need, the location is literally a 5 minute walk to the gondola or bus station. The Onsen was particularly nice and relaxing. I had shipped my ski gear in using Yamato transport and it was waiting for me when I got there. The hotel staff and I think the owner or manager who I saw at each meal were extremely attentive and willing to help with anything and everything you needed! The rooms were warm and spacious. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

honestly, not sure what I would say I didn't like about this place. Everything was really easy. The wifi wasn't the greatest, but I'm not really one to complain about wifi on a ski trip. I guess having 1 coffee machine for breakfast for the entire hotel is something that can be improved. Maybe just a large carafe of coffee ready to go in addition to the single serve machine? Or get a second machine?

朝夕食共にバイキングで、同じメニューが多くて、少し飽きました。

For me, the standout feature of this hotel was the staff. Everyone was as helpful as they could be. The arrangements for skiing were all excellent, including ski hire (helmets, clothing, comfortable ski boots!), overnight storage of ski equipment (warm boots every morning!) private and public onsen. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Although I had booked a room with a private bathroom, I didn't use it because the private onsen were always available. The washing machines were always available, and the drying rack in my room very convenient. The little shop had drinks, snacks, some essential ski gear and toiletries. I enjoyed the free massage chairs.

I was disappointed that the meals had changed from the Japanese style hotpot photographed on the website. This was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel but I understand that there had been a change in management. The buffet meals were very good, but it wasn't the experience I expected. I think that the advertised whisky bar was in the very early stages of development. As advertised, this hotel is not ski in ski out, but I didn't find the short walk a problem.

Amazing attention to detail, wonderful food and helpful staff. Very close to bus stop.

The WiFi wasn’t very strong in the room, and the sound of water flowing through pipes could be heard occasionally at night

夕食はバイキングだけでなく、コース料理プランがあってもいいと思う また、バイキングの並びがサラダの大皿が先にあり、小物はその後にある方が入れやすい お皿もについても重く大きい皿が多いので、小皿や深めのものがあった方が便利だと思います

Friendly warm vibe. Ski rentals were great and your boots were warmed up for you every morning. A quick walk to the lift and staff was super helpful.
