Terrible service from all of the staff form beginning to end. The staff only look and their phones and barely answer when you speak to them. The room wasn’t clean when we arrived with dirty floors and tables not wiped with stains and crumbs. We couldn’t get a new towel for our feet after the first night even tho the floors were filthy. The wash soap, shampoo and conditioner was out as was the toilet paper. Do NOT recommend this place at all even though it’s cheap.

We really liked Luis, our main point of contact at Ophelia. Although there were quite a few issues with the property, he resolved almost all of them and provided us with excellent advice for our stay.

We walked to the location from the ADO bus station, taking the shortest route, which led us through a slum-like neighborhood. The property, along with others in the area, was built around a very poor neighborhood. Tourism in Tulum, in general, does not seem to be structured in a way that improves the living conditions of the local residents. We were warned that the streets, which were more like muddy paths than proper roads, were unsafe, so we took a detour on subsequent trips. The bicycles provided at Ophelia were all in disrepair. Although Luis kindly arranged alternative bikes for us, we still had to pay extra for a service that should have been included in the price. Most of the washing machines and dryers were broken, as were many of the gym machines. While the pool looked appealing from a distance, upon closer inspection, it was clear that it was not clean. Additionally, there was supposed to be a restaurant on-site, but it was never open during our stay.

Amazing staff, amazing place. Chill, cozy, with a Nice vibe. We have been two nights, then came back after that Because it is really a must. Charming and near evertything.

Very friendly service, and a great pool. The room was decent size with balcony and had all the required items. Shopping is within 15 minutes walk. Someone else in a previous review complained about the limited amount of gabbage bags and tissue paper, but my host had left additional so it was not an issue.

The main complaint would be the water. The shower really stank when it was turned on, likely caused by the drains. The immediate surrounding areas are slums or to be developed (however, I didn't run into any trouble and the police drove past multiple times). Access is currently via dirt roads.
