Everything. The staff was so helpful- Loan at the reception desk and Adonita in the dining area. Loved having a large lounge room with coffee/tea and a wall of books to browse of Jaoanese arts. The meal plan was a bonus. I loved having Adonita tell me what each course contained --and how to season each one. Spotlessly clean hotel.

I didn't mind the 10 minute walk uphill from the town area. But some may prefer a taxi if suitcases are heavy.

"Tolle Erfahrung in einem klassichen Ryokan"

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Spezielle Wünsche wurden so gut es ging berücksichtigt. Das Hotel bietet die Möglichkeit das traditionelle Japan zu erfahren mit Kimono beim Essen, Onsen und japanischen Betten. Ein privates Onsen konnte sehr einfach und kurzfristig gebucht werden.

Man sollte sich bewusst sein, dass das Essen und die Essenszeiten fix definiert sind.

"A perfect experience for my first onsen"

Everything was perfect for me. The service and staff, room, food, facilities and location. I especially loved the staff's care for our experience. They were very accessible and kind.

I'm totally satisfied with my selection. Still if it's bothersome to anyone, the place is not the most central. For me it was completely fine because this is what makes it so serene.

The kaiseki ryori was delicious, full of fresh seasonal ingredients. The staff was kind and accommodating. It was a very lovely place to visit as a getaway from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, and tucked away a bit of a walk from the station so it was quite serene.

We did struggle a little bit at meals because the waitress didn't speak English or Japanese very well. I speak English fluently and Japanese proficiently, so it would have been better if we had the option to select whether we wanted to communicate in Japanese. It seemed that she was paired with all of the foreign guests and the Japanese staff was paired with Japanese guests.
