Hotel des Colonies Brussels by Mercure

Very convenient. The Breakfast should have more variety on daily basis. There was no Gym and other facilities. Reception was very efficient and friendly. Very safe.

The wifi may be free but it was almost nonexistent. The room had no coffee-making facilities, no haridryer (apparently I could have gone down to reception to borrow one - it my nightclothes or in a towel after my shower?). The TV or remote didn't work. Breakfast was good but I was charged 10 Euros. (Colleagues paid 10 Euros if paid for when booking).

Filthy, small room and bathroom, renovation very much needed, Ongoing noisy building work in the neighbourhood. Breakfast rather simple and dining area small and crowded. NOT good valiue for money. Staff was nice, helpful and friendly.

One key for a room of 3 adult. No key to access lift, floor or room once it was kept by your room-mate. Breakfast is good, but table space were tight.

The location does not makeup for the old run down hotel. Needs a lot of work and improvement which includes staff

The hotel had everything we need. It was modest and could use some decorative updates. It was one block from a metro stop and two blocks from the train. Since we were there to see our daughter who was a few metro stop away that was very nice. We also used the train to travel to several other cities in Belgium and that was very handy. The hotel breakfast had a wide variety of items. There were some nice restaurants near by and it was a 20 minute walk to the Grand Place.

Below expectations. .

Came late and left early, basically only slept there.

Hotel is well located and very good value................

I had a great time in Belgium, the hotel is 5mins away from the bus and train station Little concern on the room lighting ,maybe too dark for reading
