The O Spa

The facility was very pretty. A work in progress as there ia some construction still going on, but nothing unbearable. We were disappointed with the unorganized staffing and check-in. We arrived right before check-in time (255 pm) could not find the office because it is not labeled, then shown to a room that was still under construction. Luckily for us, we were upgraded to their suite which was beautiful. The owner showed us in, yet felt it was appropriate to keep reminded us how much the suite really cost per night, almost as if we couldnt afford the price. Overall, The hotel has good bones, management is still working out the kinks in both service and facility.

The property was cute. I loved the vibe. But my room only had a small swamp cooler in the wall. After an hour of waiting for it to cool down, it was still 95 degrees in my room. I did book at another hotel. The owner was mad that I didn’t let him move us to another room, but his plan was to move us for that night and then move us again the next night. Who wants to be shuffled around like that? The owner said, well that room hasn’t been remodeled yet. So why would you book us into a room that clearly doesn’t work and you know it doesn’t. He then told me he would refund one of my two days. He has yet to do it. He slammed down his key board and announced he is getting out of the hotel industry. I guess he’s gonna take my money and run. Based on the website photos, we arrived expecting a peaceful and serene spa-like atmosphere. The parking lot was cluttered with old mattresses, junk and debris. The owner Rick was not onsite so he asked us to hang out by the pool until he got back. There is no reception desk. It was 100+ degrees outside. We had our dog with us, which the rules stated must be leashed at all times. There were dogs running around loose all over the place, as well as feces on the ground. There were a bunch of spaced out young people in the pool, and the beat of the loud dance music was intense. Oh did I mention it’s a cannabis resort? Nothing on their website says that. We are 73 and 66 years old. Rick told us we could cancel even though our prepaid reservation was non refundable. He said we weren’t a “good fit” which we clearly were not. Still waiting for a refund.

This place is the best! Rick and his staff do an incredible job making this property a much-needed escape. The vibe is chill, welcoming and just plain fun! The grounds and pools are stunning, and the hot pool is really hot! I appreciated all the designer touches both in the rooms and on the grounds. The kitchen is a nice addition. The coffee is good and the towels are fluffy. Plus there are puppies! I'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work. Excellent value.
