Comfort Inn St Louis - Westport Event Center

The staff was really nice and professional, very welcoming even at 2:00am after we had a long day of delayed flights. Hallway carpets looked liked they could use a good cleaning. Beds comfy. Breakfast was a nice variety of food and good

We drove 10 hours and chose this hotel because of its relative closeness to the National Archives. Unfortunately, upon check in there was mold all over our room, including behind the wallpaper. This was causing the wallpaper to bubble and peel. There were also some very suspicious red stains all over the carpet. The curtains were also disgusting. We could never figure out how to get the hot water to work either. Also the overall atmosphere of the hotel made us feel very very unsafe. We were highly disappointed and ended up checking out a day early. Staff did very little to help us. They refunded us for the night we didn't stay (originally was supposed to stay for 2 nights). However, they didn't offer to refund any of the amount that we spent for the horrible experience. My family and I have traveled a lot and Comfort Inn is usually pretty reliable but this has to be one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in.

Property was quiet. Nice television. Not very far from restaraunts. Could have used some hooks or towel racks in the bathroom. Breakfast was great.

Staff was rude

The front desk worker was great! The room smelled very strong of marijuana. One of the curtains was missing on one side. When you walk in the side door you get rusty water dripped on you from the ac above.

James the front desk assistant was so helpful and kind. The staff were very kind. Beautiful area and great rooms. I give them 10/10!!! Thanks for a great stay.

Upon arriving, I was made to pay extra even though I paid the higher amount on the app. I saw a bug in my room when I first arrived and when I brought it to staff's attention the offered to switch my room but that type of bug a "room switch" wouldn't matter. The curtains were noticeably dirty. The mattress was stained and the furniture was missing pieces as well as the remote. Also there are no USB ports for your phone to charge.

Our stay was pretty average. It seems to be an older building so there is some wear and tear.
