Sheraton Chapel Hill Hotel

We come to UNC Hospitals every 3 weeks. Found the Sheraton after staying at a few other Marriott properties near the hospital. All of our stays at any of the Marriott locations have been great. We choose the Sheraton because of the staff especially Jamal who is very helpful and friendly at each encounter. The amenities are perfect for our short stays and convenient to many restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

Darrick was a great, friendly, knowledgeable bartender. He made you feel important and his attention to detail was top tier. You must try his coconut margaritas. The room was comfortable and clean. All staff from desk was all smiles. I even had the pleasure of meeting the Director of engineering who offered words of inspiration and encouragement. I'll be back just for the staff.

I love the Sheraton! The only hotel I stay at. The hotel was very nice and clean.At the bar area Darrick and RoRo they were very accommodating and very pleasant. The food was delicious .Hats off to them they really made my morning special.♥️❤️❤️

Clean rooms

the room was pleasant and the ac was strong! the whole staff were professional and delightful. However, the highlight of my stay was Derrick. He provided top class service and energy. Then when things got busy he was calm, cool, and collected.

Poor air conditioning in room

Room was small but adequate. Cleanliness was impeccable. Bed linens were nice but a king bed should have four pillows of the same density. The shower control knob was missing and there was no control to change between overhead and handheld heads. A huge surprise was a charge for parking in the hotel parking lot. I was there less than 12 hours and at the minimum, you are required to pay for 24 hours. Worst of all, this charge was not advertised. We’re told if you don’t pay, you will be ticketed. This is a separate charge from the room. I’ve paid for parking in big cities before and it is always advertised up front and paid to the hotel.

New clean 3 elevators so don't need to wait at all. No daily chambermaid. Plenty of parking and not near any school or other venue so charging $7 a day is absurd money grab. The hotel experience itself was wonderful . Clean new rooms comfortable. VERY soundproofed and quiet though on a main artery.

The service was great. Friendly and helpful staff. Awa at the front desk went above and beyond to help me with a document. Darrick might be the most knowledgeable bar tender I have ever met. They both deserve a A+ rating I will always stay here when visiting Chapel Hill.
