Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Boston - Peabody by IHG

First night in US, only wanted a room to crash north of the airport so picked this. It’s not the best, not often I feel cautious in a hotel, but this was one… I hope the rest of my holiday tour is better. I have stayed in many Holiday Inns, this is not to their normal standard, sorry but that’s my experience.

We stayed here for 2 nights before travelling to Boston airport Close to all we wanted to see . Salem , Marblehead and of course the outlet stores the room was huge the bathroom even bigger bed was very comfy very little noise . Friendly staff , bonus was Greek restaurant very close by

For the money it was good, wish there was free continental breakfast.

I would not recommend this place. I first arrived and told them I lost my card, the guy working front desk seemed like I was bothering him (turned out he was leaving in 30 mins) and told me there was nothing I could do even after asking if I could show him a picture of the card and read the numbers off. There’s kids and people just roaming the hallways. I saw multiple people walking around with no shoes. There is always a smell of somebody cooking something which doesn’t make any sense. Next the room was very damp and moist. There were gnats and large flies. My top sheet was still very wet but was covered with the comforter which was also now wet. The trip to n from Salem from this place just isn’t worth it. I’ll be booking directly in Salem next time.

I stayed in the Holiday Inn hotel with my family and was so disappointed with the experience. The room reeked of cigarettes and old food and late at night we saw a roach! Hotel refused a refund and instead tried to offer me a soda!

That the complimentary breakfast is at a beautiful restaurant next door

One night staff’s pizza recommendation, Bella Mia, was great. Unbelievably tasty pizza.

Really good choice. And great Greek restaurant next to it!

Stains on the ceiling, holes in the curtain, mystery stain on the frame holding the mattress large black mark on the easy chair, broken fan switches in the bathroom, if you turn on the light by the door it flickers for 10 seconds before turning on, tiny itchy towels, air conditioner cover not fully attached to wall frame, crumbs behind the bed (and I know this because I pulled it an inch away from the wall fearing bugs,) every elevator or hallway smells like food, seems like a short term residential property for insurance or transient accommodation. Not worth over $250 for a weekend night.

Customer service, cleanliness, front hallways paint is all chipped, front desk not helpful. When I checked out the front desk took my room key and never said how was your stay with us or thank you. This place is not like it was a few years ago. Too many children running around and riding bikes in the hallways. Housekeepers need better training. Our housekeeper did not know how to make a bed. My husband showed her.
