Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Boston - Peabody by IHG

This is one of the worst Holiday Inn Hotels that I have ever stayed in. The place smelled very strange. As we walked to our second floor room there were trash bags full of garbage sitting outside of more than halve of the rooms. The ice machine on the second floor didn't work so a long trek to the one on the first floor. Then after the next day of driving around Boston and Salem which was very nice we came back to our room and found the beds not made and trash in the bedroom basket. Towels were in the bathroom to our surprise. The other complaint is that individuals were allowed to smoke in front of the main door. Every time the door opened the smoke would rush inn. I have been using Holiday Inns for over 50 years but never ran into one this low on the scale.

The lobby, very nice. The room, smelled like cigarette smoke. I am not a smoker so that smell hits me in the face. The water pressure low and the toilet slow to flush. Not easy to see from Newberry Street. The back of the building and the courtyard leave a lot to be desired. Needs a cleanup in the back of the building. I would expect it to look as nice as the front. The corridors leading to the rooms need a lot attention.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Beds are comfy and the rooms are clean and well maintained. The stay was nice and quiet. I would definitely stay here again. The only bad thing is the parking gets so full and congested that you end up hoofing it a ways to get to your room.

Room was very clean. Expensive for the area. Side entrances were damaged. Did not feel totally safe.

Clean, friendly, very comfortable beds . The room stank. Old cigarette smoke? Very busy area . Seemed industrial

No breakfast. I need to go out to eat breakfast and come back. Not convivence.

It appeared that being used for public housing

Would recommend hotel. Clean and modern with nice amenities and well maintained. Stayed in a suite and the extra space was amazing. Very spacious. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Towels were normal size.

This property was very smelly and the smell affected my allergies. I went back downstairs within 30 minutes within checking to inform them of the conditions because I couldn’t breathe because of the smell and how it was affecting my allergies. The property manager wouldn’t even refund my money and Expedia didn’t do anything extra to help me with this issue

A very good location. Restaurants all around. Target and Walmart close by. We had an accessible room. The bathroom was was very spacious, but the bedroom area was extremely tight. If we had a wheelchair, it would've been very difficult to mive around. The walls between the rooms were very thin as I could hear clear conversations from the guest in the next room. The bathroom one night had a strong smell of cigarettes. For a few nights, the hallways had a strong odor of food being cooked. The hotel sinage is difficult to see and the turning into the parking lot could easily be mssed. The restaurant sinage is larger than the actual hotels sinage. Overall an 'ok' hotel for a short stay.
