Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Matteson Chicago

Hotel was under construction first room they put us in were right next door to three rooms being renovated got switched to another room with no iron and no bath towels when asked we got two for a three day stay and said they were very limited. The front desk staff was very helpful

Overall poor to average experience.

The hotel was very clean, but they are working on the inside which was kinda creepy going down the hallways. There is some work needed to the front and outside where you park. There are scrubs overgrowing. Other then that it was quiet and very clean!

The Hotel was simply beautiful, the extra large large lobby was beautiful, the lounge with the winding staircase was lovely,ample parking spacious rooms, kingsize beds, It was just lovely period.

front desk guy was rude, room smelled like someone smoked in it before I got in. I was uncomfortable, decide to cut my trip short.. never will i stay again. Shower wasn’t working as well..

This hotel in its glory days was probably amazing. It is huge. The landscaping is full of weeds, parking lot wasn’t much better. Hotel was fairly clean, but outdated. There is construction going on, however it never bothered us on the second floor. TV was brand new in the room. Check in and out was seamless. Staff was very nice. Bar Louie, not great. Food was good but service definitely lacked. Pool is closed indefinitely (didn’t affect my review, but just a heads up)

Hotel was near many eateries, very convenient freeway access, and my room was clean. Hotel had lots of renovations going on, outdated gym, and swimming pool was out of service. Even with that being said I wouldn't mind staying again.

Overall, the stay was fine. Some things (pool, front entrance) were inaccessible due to renovations. The hotel was clean and quiet though.

Parking lot was under construction and signage was very small on doors directing you to alternate entrance/exit for the hotel

Had a side door that was not locked at all and anyone could enter at any time: totally unacceptable!!!! Many huge weeds in the landscaping and building was sort of run down, but was clean inside
