This is strictly for service as Terry was simply amazing and courteous. My husband and I sat at the bar for two nights in a row. Terry was by himself both nights and was meeting expectations as Parties of 4 or more started flowing in. I look forward to returning!

We had the best experience at the bar and restaurant! Terry served us several times and was always so amazing! He was so fun and kind and created a great atmosphere we couldn’t wait to go back too! Couldn’t recommend him enough!!

The property is truly beautiful, with meticulously maintained gardens and lush greenery that create a serene atmosphere. The front desk staff is exceptional — consistently helpful and friendly, going above and beyond with outstanding customer service by offering towels and bottled water. The pool area is inviting and spacious, perfect for relaxing by the lake. Although the pool can occasionally appear a bit cloudy, it remains a great space for unwinding. Additionally, the property offers kayaks and canoes for those wanting to explore the lake. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with cozy beds. My only suggestion for improvement would be updating the color scheme and flooring, as they feel somewhat dated. The bathrooms are well-appointed and clean. The on-site restaurant offers a variety of food options and has a bar, but unfortunately, the service was less than ideal during our stay. We were assisted by the same staff member during our three-day visit, and while he was clearly busy, we often had to wait at least 15 minutes for a simple to-go order. He appeared to be the only one managing both the dining area and poolside service, which led to some delays. While I understand staffing challenges, it affected the overall dining experience, and the service could certainly be improved. This was the main reason for my rating of four stars, though I would have considered three stars due to the service issues. However, the property’s beauty and the majority of the staff’s attentiveness still made for a generally pleasant stay.

The hotel desperately needs an update. Our room has mosquitoes and little bugs flying around the lights when we got there and not just one or two.

Absolutely the greatest front desk help from Wesley and Rebecca. We arrived with our dog and they changed our room to a better accommodation, anything we asked for they helped with. Seemed to be genuinely interested in ensuring we had a wonderful stay. We will be back! Great value, location, and very clean.

View of the water and pool was nice ...Staff were good.

Unfortunately outdated facilities. Needs a $15 million upgrade. Lighting in rooms inadequate, grimy stairwells and hallways, restaurant OK but understaffed. Great location ,but for the money I wouldn't stay there again.

Close to nice restaurants and golf course

Super disappointing! Water damage in the rooms despite recent renovation. I looked at 2 rooms. One had a very long crack on the ceiling and the other had excessive amounts of bubbling walls and water stains in the bathroom. There was stale air making breathing feel somewhat difficult while walking through the halls and in the rooms. Something caused my eyes to get all red and completely drain my energy while in the room. There's also loud traffic noises since the property is right on a busy street with inadequate sound proofing. The sidewalk along the lake has pretty much every inch covered in bird droppings so even a stroll around the property is unpleasant. It felt like I was staying in an old, poorly maintained, cheap apartment complex rather than a resort. My health symptoms in the room forced me to checkout around 6 pm the 2nd day because it was scary feeling and looking like I was being poisoned. I basically never write bad reviews unless there's also horrible customer service. I've been trying to get some sort of refund for the 2nd night for nearly a month and a half but management has ignored my multiple calls and emails. Please do yourself a favor and stay somewhere that's actually nice with staff that cares about their property and guests! I felt completely normal and energetic the night I left and went to a different hotel, so this was definitely some sort of environmental issue with The Mccormick.

I recently stayed at The Scottsdale Resort & Spa and overall had a very positive experience. The property itself is beautiful, with well-maintained grounds, a relaxing atmosphere, and excellent amenities. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to unwind after a long day. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, professional, and very attentive, which made the stay feel welcoming from the moment I arrived. The pool area and common spaces are especially impressive and provide a great environment to relax. The location is also very convenient for getting around Scottsdale and accessing nearby restaurants, shopping, and attractions. One challenge I experienced was wireless internet. During my stay the Wi-Fi connection was unreliable and slow, which made it difficult to work online or stay connected. Given how many guests rely on stable internet for both work and personal use, upgrading the wireless infrastructure would make a big difference to the overall guest experience. Aside from the Wi-Fi issue, this is a fantastic property and I would absolutely consider staying here again. With stronger and more reliable wireless connectivity, it would easily be an outstanding stay from start to finish.
