The McCormick Scottsdale

Terry, the bartender was fantastic! Personable, attentive, and his jalapeño pineapple margaritas are lethal! The food was also very good. The staff were courteous and helpful; the rooms, clean and well-maintained. The lake view rooms with patios are well worth the upgrade, and the geese, ducks, and birds were a delightful addition. The pool area is small, but about the right size for this small resort. We were a little disappointed there was no poolside service, but understand it may be too early in the year yet to have full staff working. Overall, this little resort is a gem and we will return when we are in the Phoenix area.

This review is specifically for Terry, who works in the bar/restaurant. He made our trip so much better! So sweet and kind and gave amazing service.

This is the worst property we stayed during our extensive travel home and abroad. The property advertising is very deceptive. Property is old, not taken care of. We paid extra for a Superior room which had only two electric outlet, hair dryer did not work, coffee machine did not work, faucet in the bathroom was moving, quality of towels and even bathroom tissues were of cheap motels. For the money we paid there was not even a separate standing shower, it was in a bathtub. Furnirure was old and paint was falling off. They had one old Hispanic lady taking care of multiple guests in the breakfast room. It was worst experience we ever had. And you should not list this property in your web site.

Stay away. I had to check out one night early and asked the front desk if I could check out and they told me fine. But then they still charged me for the night and said that it was their policy. They never mentioned that they would still charge me for that night even as they told me that it was not problem for me to check out since I had booked the hotel through them.

Loved to visit the McCormick, so we can see Terry. He made such a great impression when we first stay at the resort in 2022 we continue to visit. Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon drinking wine watching the ducks on the lake. Thank you for your excellent service Terry!

The 2026 stays were winners! I put up my family visitors there in FEB, since I live nearby. I have been doing this since 2020. They always love their stay here & feel right at home in this lovely facility. We all agreed the HOTEL STAFF makes stays here memorable. My brother thought the workout equipment was first class! Sisters liked the easy atmosphere of dining room & attached garden patio, Deli and everyone enjoyed open Bar areas & pool. Next comes our Easter crowd.

Terry was great behind the bar. The food was excellent as well. I had several meals here and was impressed with the quality of food and the service.

Terry was incredible. Totally worth it even just for the day!
