Sonesta ES Suites Omaha

I’ve been to Omaha for the USAT Multisport festival two years in a row, and Ive stayed at Sonesta ES Suites both times. Its a great value!! Walk to Target for groceries, walk to Red Lobster for great dinners. UBER for everything else.

I left after arriving at the property. I did not feel safe. The room was dirty and smelled. The walls were stained. There was a cigarette burn on the sofa. The wall by the cook top was burned/stained. The refrigerator was not working and the desk didn't know when it could be fixed. The front door looked like it hadbeen kicked in the past. I can go on and on.

I booked this place last minute solely based on the positive reviews, and I honestly couldn’t have been more disappointed. Several of the most recent reviews raved about how clean it was—but that couldn’t have been further from the truth. The moment we walked in, we were hit with the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. Every surface was grimy and dirty. Shockingly, there were what looked like blood splatters on one of the walls. The kitchen chairs were so filthy that we had to cover them with grocery bags just to sit down. The air vents were caked in dust and grime, as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years. I tried to find a different hotel and was willing to forfeit what we paid, but unfortunately, there were no other options available. To be fair, the beds seemed to be relatively clean—that’s the only positive thing I can say. But everything else? Completely unacceptable. I woke up during the night to use the bathroom and my feet literally stuck to the floor. Also worth noting: it appeared that some people were living there full time, which gave off a very different vibe than what we expected. 0/10 – I would absolutely not recommend this place.

Very dated-Stained carpet, stained furniture, tv in bedroom did not work, kitchen linoleum torn, pair peeled on stairway bannister, volley ball net torn and the free breakfast was not edible when we opened the door the room smelled like cigarettes. I would not recommend this as a place to stay.

Location, staff, and cleanliness was all great! The only dislike is that the outside property appearance did not look anything like the pictures. I thought i was at the wrong place at first and i had to change my room for a room that didnt smell like cigarettes, and the 2nd room still had a light smell of cigarettes, but i just didn't want to keep switching rooms and we just bought candles to kill the odor.

A/C, frig and TV all worked. However no maid service each day. Coffee in the lobby wasn't always available, or the creamer. The air freshener in the main building and the room was a bit strong; it seemed to be trying to mask curry smell. There was a hot breakfast, but it wasn't very good or many choices (not even belgian waffles).

Nice place

Not to standards of other hotels. Stained blankets, burn holes in sheets, run down facility/room. No fruit for breakfast. Very thin blanket compared to nice thick comforters at other hotels. Doors difficult to open, not working. Others guests loud at 1:00 am waking us up, car alarms going off at 2:00 am.

Check-in was quick and easy. Connal at the front desk was very professional and accommodating. He put us in a room that had strong cigarette smell so ℑ asked to switch and he was very kind and allowed to us to view two other rooms to choose from. The next morning ℑ found out the door was not locked behind us so the morning staff fixed it right away. The toilet was not flushing and a maintenance man was sent in and fixed it upon request. Two things ℑ was not please was were breakfast is not exciting. ℑ don’t eat breakfast but my kids do and they didn’t eat what they got (not much variety to choose from) and they didn’t care to return the next morning for breakfast. And, some the towels were not clean so make sure you look at the towels before using them. And yes ℑ would recommend them and would stay there Gabor a short trip like ℑ had last weekend. Oh, it’s in great location where you have access to a variety of restaurants, downtown, mall and other grocery stores like Walmart, target and CVS/Walgreen’s if you need a drug store too.

Our room was pretty old and beat-up. This property really needs updating. The bed was nice and it nice was nice to have a full kitchen. The TV didn't work but was replaced. The safety locks on the door were taken off
