The Alder at Resorts World Catskills

My room was quiet and had a good night's sleep, however their towels stink from some chemical they use for washing them, which was somewhat strong smell. Also, I didn't want housekeeping service so I put 'do not disturb' on doorknob but they went in anyways and moved all my stuff around and gave me more smelly towels. Also, why cant there be a covered walkway from hotel to casino? Was 3 degrees and a snowstorm when I stayed there.

The place is great!

We were blown away. It was our first time staying there and we had no idea how beautiful the hotel would be. We booked for the Alder but we hit placed in the tower of the world resorts casino. This was such. Pleasant surprise bc no we were right there with the restaurants, bars, casino, spa, pool etc. Every staff member was lovely, helpful and really seemed like they are happy to be working at the resort. The room was massive and spotless. Every inch of the place was clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the pool hot tub was great. Casino was clean and brand new, restaurants were delish (steakhouse not the best for the price we expected better) overall we are excited to stay there again

On check in to my room, noticed 2 dead bed bugs on pillow. Staff was responsive to my request for a change of room. No additional cleanliness problems noted during stay. I would recommend The Alder for a stay.

I had a great time celebrating New Year's, but there was an unfortunate incident with the elevator. We got stuck inside, and the alarm didn’t work. With the DJ blasting music in the lobby, no one could hear us. We had to pry open the doors ourselves to get out, which was definitely stressful. Despite that, the rest of the event was fun and memorable.
