Castle Hill Bungalow by Seven Angels

A really lovely old property with a fabulous view of the lake. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was beautifully-equipped & decorated. Breakfast was lovely!

The main gate is locked so you have to find the security guard to get in/out of the property (even by foot). This happened to us twice in a one-night stay, so a little frustrating. Breakfast was not included, but given the price of the room this would have been a nice addition.

Location was spectacular - at the top of a hill looking down over Kandy and the Temple of the Tooth Relic. The gardens were amazing, views great, and the Villa was simply superb. Staff was really really good - very accomodative. Food was good but not great, and some conveniences would have been welcome - eg., storage, hooks, hanging space etc. It's a short distance from the city centre, yet so peaceful. I will definitely be back.

Hanging space, and luggage racks. Turn down service Storage in the bathroom - someplace to put down clothes/hang towels A contact number to connect with staff when required when not at the hotel Intercom? in case a guest requires anything. Also a bell at the gate (it's kept locked)
