Great property with lovely staff !

Splendida villa immersa nel verde con spettacolare vista sul lago ed il tempio del dente. Stanno ultimando una piscina che dovrebbe essere operativa tra qualche settimana. Colazione servita all’aperto sul prato con vista lago. Possibilità di usufruire dei servizi dell’hotel distante 100m quali piscina e ristorazione. Dista a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro attraverso una strada senza macchine o possibilità di prendere come sempre un tuc tuc e spostarsi.

We loved staying at this hotel; it was a peaceful place after being in the city with so much activity. The views were beautiful and full of greenery. The staff was incredibly kind and always attentive to us. I would definitely stay here again.

Ein charmanter Bungalow in einem traumhaften Garten in spektakulärer Aussichtslage über Kandy, dem See und dem Zahntempel. Wir hatten die Auswahl zwischen einem Dinner im Bungalow oder auf der Dachterrasse im gegenüberliegenden Hotel, das dem selben Anbieter gehört. Wir haben uns für die Dachterrasse entschieden und die Aussicht am Abend war wundervoll. Das Frühstück mit einem aufwändig zurecht gemachten Obstteller und anderen Köstlichkeiten gab es auf der Terrasse des Bungalows.

Akila! - he greeted us very warmly upon arrival. The property is an old english house high above the lake of Kandy so very good views of the temple and lake below. Our room was very large and first impressions were good. Our first night Akila very kindly drove us by tuk tuk to a nearby restaurant and came back for us which was great as it was raining heavily. He is warm and friendly and the best thing about this hotel.

This property has recently been taken over by Seven Angels group. They seriously need to work on this property. Poor value for the price we paid. Room we had was huge BUT there is nowhere to hang clothes, not enough power points for charging phones etc, wifi weak, no fan in the bathroom, issues with toilet either running all night or not flushing, No towel rails in the bathroom to hand towels to dry - although it was so wet and damp for our entire stay they probably wouldn't have dried. Toiletries on offer were in tiny ceramic bottles with missing cork stoppers on 2 out of 4 bottles. No decent coffee - machine broken - but hey get a coffee plunger and good coffee! Garden is huge but very muddy underfoot.

Unique location with wonderful view! What makes it even better are the staff always helpful and very kind. We enjoyed our stay and the only regret is having stayed only 1 night.

Somethings are looking old but added to the vintage feel, seems to be some work taking place. When done it’s going to be amazing
