This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to, the room had dead bugs 2 of the elevators were broken down and some people got trapped. Not only that the the phone for room service didn’t work and when we called the front desk I kid you not they said “that’s not our problem” and hung up this was truly one of the worst hotels I have ever been in.

Wow! Everyone! Heed the Reviews--they are truthful. I stay at Hilton properties year around (60 to 80 days a year), and this Embassy at the plaza is the worst Hilton property I have ever stay at. It is the least value for the money you will ever spend. This facility is run down and the photo representations on the website of the hotel is false--the photos may have been an actual representation of the hotel 15 plus year ago. Unsatisfactory Conditions: The breakfast i would classify was minimal (most of the common part of buffet items are not available) The omelets were ok and the cook was doing his job fine. The staff in the breakfast area were doing their best and the staff (in general) were helpful and friendly. The parking garage's condition and lighting were terrible and the security gate was open through Saturday night and Sunday. There was a security person that was always setting in his vehicle on the corner of the property by the dumpster--I never saw him move or at any other location for 3 days. The facility is DILAPIDATED beyond acceptable: The floors everywhere are dirty The carpets (in the room) and everywhere else are filthy dirty bad. The room was odorous. The safe would not work. The bathroom is so small (approximately 5ft x 5ft)--toilet and tub only The bath tub would not drain water properly. The balcony is deteriorated to be unsafe, so the sliding glass door have been permanently closed. The TV in the bedroom repeatedly lost signal. Conclusion: I have come to expect much much better conditions at Hilton properties and although facilities vary, the Embassy at the Plaza in Kansas City at 220 West 43rd Street is the worst. This is a 100 bucks a night (stay at your own risk) hotel. I was charged $398.00 for a 2 night stay. The Hilton on 43rd is a very nice facility when I stay last about a year ago and for another 90 bucks (average) a night you'll be happier to stay there if you need or want to be in the Plaza area of KC.

Beds were very uncomfortable.

Hotel is aged and needs updating. The tub drained very very slowly. Carpet is old and really needs to be replaced. Safe didn’t work-had to ask for a/c filter to be changed. Floor in the bar area was sticky. Breakfast items were not hot unless you had an omelet made. Would not stay here again. I will say staff was friendly and was responsive.

The staff were the best. Always inquiring about how the stay was and if we needed anything.

This location is a very old property. The carpet was old, the rooms needed to be updated, the mattresses are in need of replacement. There are "soft spots" in the floorboards near and in the elevators that I was concerned that were not going to hold. The bathrooms in the suites are in bad need of updating as well as the furniture in the suites. The location was extremely noisy with emergency vehicles, loud cars and motorcycles passing through all night long.

I have stayed in many different Hilton properties and this one is in the poorest condition! Carpet was stained and had burn marks. The plumbing in the shower was repaired very poorly. There’s to much more to mention. The hotel really needs a total renovation! Also the food at the free breakfast was not very good! I did find the employees very nice and friendly.
