Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport - NEC by IHG

I stay a lot in hotels all over the UK and this is the best hotel I stay at. I’ve been staying here for around five years when I’m in Birmingham. The rooms are great, good TVs, coffee machines, fridges and a very good shower. The bar area is good as well as food in the restaurant. The best part though,has to be the staff, they are all different to most I encounter at rival hotels,which is a credit to themselves as well as the training they have from management. I can’t remember all their names but on reception, Honey is brilliant, so are Shivani and Megan, you can’t beat a smile and a happy helpful persona when you check in. They are great Girls and very professional but with a personal touch. Mo who is F&B manager has a great team, including Tiya, Twinkle and Manisha. The Breakfast in the morning is very good, brilliantly run by Charleen who has been at the hotel for a good few years. I cannot fault this hotel and always look forward to my visits there. Huge credit to Jaime, his management team and the wonderful staff that make this hotel what it is. Look forward to my next visit in the New Year, best regards Colin

Yet another successful stay care of the team at the Holiday Inn. Check in was seamless as usual, it was a one-night stay with an early departure , room was good clean and tidy, the bar area was a s ever bang on with Andrew and Twinkle performing a perfect service. The same at breakfast, Charlene and Madi on top form Jamie, Rupesh, Mo up front to lead, behind the scenes Ruth and the team always there to move mountains to make sure the nightmares that need a room today get a bed. The rooms that my group stayed in were dated and very dusty. I had to request to change rooms as the first room I was given was covered in dust and had a really musty smell. The common areas of the hotel were not much cleaner. The service was also poor, despite me already paying for a room and breakfast for her, they repeatedly told my colleague that she was at the wrong hotel and that she didn’t have a room. After finally finding her booking they then tried to double charge her for breakfast. For the expense not only of the rooms but also the car parking and breakfast I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. The only thing good about it is the location which is handy for NEC and airport.

I would like to sincerely appreciate the exceptional service provided by Jenisha and Samjhana. They were courteous, proactive, and ensured every guests felt well taken care of. Their professionalism, graceful communication, and constant smile made the entire experience truly delightful. They are a great asset to the company.

Room was clean and tidy, however the electric didn't work come the morning time. Breakfast service from Padma was superb.

Mouldy spoons in room. And two single beds in a double bed room for one person? Why do I need an extra bed on the other side of the room I can’t sleep in. Room temperature controls wouldnt stay at the temperature I set for more than 30 minutes requiring me to set the room temp constantly during the night.

Good hotel, really clean , like the touch with the comments on the mirror in the bedrooms. All the staff at breakfast were lovely and chatty especially Padma.

Amazing stay amazing breakfast Ms.Padma and Smriti are very hardworking and proactive. Rooms are good very clean and all staffs are very sweet and helpful.

We were very impressed with the appearance & cleanliness., quality of furnishings, bedrooms & bathrooms. All the staff were extremely warm, friendly & helpful. We enjoyed both dinner & breakfast with drinks at the bar, all with good choice & quality. Good location for the airport & plenty of parking.
