Mövenpick Hotel Zuerich-Airport

The shuttle to and from the airport was prompt, the staff was friendly, and the initial appearance was good. However, there were two problems. The first was security. When we arrived, our room was not ready, so we asked the hotel to store our luggage while we went sightseeing. They took us into a room where there were a lot of others’ belongings to drop our bags off. We were not given luggage tags, so when we returned, we were let back into the room and literally could have taken any luggage in there and no one would’ve known whether it was ours or not. Secondly, there was black mold in the shower. Some of it was embedded in the caulk , but some of it could easily be removed but was not. There was also a black mold ring around the drain of the sink. If this much filth is visible to the naked eye, it makes more wonder what is there that can’t be seen. Disgusting!

Close to the tram from the airport. Had outlet adapters for us to borrow and an airport shuttle in the morning. Area around hotel seemed nice and safe for us to walk around after a long travel day

No complimentary breakfast. No coffee maker in the room. No hygiene in the bathroom etc.

Our room air condition wasn’t working and it was only fix after 3 days

Had to wait for my room to be ready even tho they were expecting me. The internet never works in the rooms. The gym is basically non existent. Can’t even fit two people in the same room and barely has anything, should even be considered a gym at all. The breakfast was equally horrible. Poor quality and almost no choices, super noisy with people on video calls plus music out loud… was more of a circus than breakfast. Terrible way to start your day.

The Hotel was ok but the parking situation deserves no more than one star. At a price of sfr 39 I would expect good size parking spaces and enough of them. I had to park my expensive Mercedes Rental Car in a spot where I could raffly get out, hoping the cars next to me would not scratch my rental car.

Its a very run down hotel. 3 of us Had to stay for one night. Chec-in was slow. Though there were four attendants none acknowledged only one of them was slowly checking in guests. NONE of the ataff acknowledged the arriving guests. Room was dated with stale smells. Room was warm on a summer afternoon- they were never prepared for the guests comfort.Bathroom had traces of mold and mildew. Only two towels provided for 3 occupants. No street lights around the property. Not even on the approach road.I think travel and hotel booking sites like expedia should not list such crappy properties.
