Mövenpick Hotel Zuerich-Airport

Rooms were clean and spacious but corridors dirty with coffee stirrers and litter on floor looked like it needed a good hoover. Outside patio covered in cigarette butts.

It's fine. I needs to be updated-- badly.

Black mold on bathroom tiles. Our room’s deadbolt did not work. People can open our door without using any keycard even the door was locked from inside. Staff was rude and tried to close the elevator door when my 4 years old son was pushing the suitcase into the elevator. When I kept the door open, the staff played dumb and said he did not know we wanted to go down. Absolutely not recommend

The hotel is convenient for the airport but only if you can get there. We were told there is a complementary shuttle bus but were not told that it stopped running at 23:00. Our flight was supposed to arrive at 21:30 but was delayed and we just missed the last bus. We then had to take an Uber at our own expense. Check-in was fine. The room decor was dated and could do with modernisation; for example, there were no power points or USB sockets by the bed. The bathroom was a strange shape and layout with lots of sharp tiled corners; whose idea was that? The double bed had two separate duvets, which was strange to us. My duvet had lost all its filling so was basically a thin blanket. We had the air con on because my husband was boiling, and I was freezing! We didn’t realise our duvets were of such different thickness. Breakfast wasn’t included and would have cost another CHF 23 - no, thank you. There is a convenient tram stop nearby which we were told about when we checked out. We went back to the airport that way to pick up our hire car.

The place is dated and feels worn. We had dirty towels and the lights in the room didn’t work. Most were unplugged and even when I plugged them in they didn’t work. Place needs an update.

Based on the reviews listed on Tripadvisor I was under the impression the hotel would be lovely for our family. It was not. The first room we were given had black lines in the grout of the shower, the fridge was broken and had not been cleaned as it contained a pink substance on the shelf. Additionally, the room had an "off" smell. We requested to be moved to a different room and the bathroom contained the same black in the grout lines. Everything about the hotel appeared rundown and in need of refurbishment. The only reason this hotel got a star at all from our family, is because the front desk staff did attempt to solve the problem. Please note, there is NOTHING around the hotel to eat or drink and the breakfast comes at a cost of 33 francs per person.

Lobby was very nice, staff very friendly , shuttle to airport in time… there are two things, not sure what cleaning product used on carpet, smell bothersome to me… and the grout in the bathtub area… black mould… expected higher standard of hotel based on price wd paid …

The Movenpikat Zurich Airport is an outdated hotel that needs updating. The airport shuttle that they advertise is only available during certain hours which they do not clearly outline in their hotel information. A taxi cost 20 francs once we figured out there was no shuttle. We got to the hotel and they wanted to charge 60 francs for an hour and a half. This is absurd. Furthermore most of the people at the front desk were trainees.

Hotel was fine, just air conditioning wasn’t working. Didn’t have toilet paper in bathroom but that was resolved quickly. Location was great and shuttle service to airport was helpful.

Great place to stay before your flight out. The free airport shuttle is super convenient.
