Hotel Mercure Oostende

The hotel itself and location was nice; the room and breakfast offerings were great. The elevator is not convenient to use during the day, as the cleaning people are often using it to ascend/descend the nine floors, which makes it either very slow or unusable. I found the breakfast staff a bit discourteous, closing off areas for seating and leaving us with only dirty tables to sit at. Lastly, the gentleman responsible for service at check out was quite rude. Unbeknownst to either of us, there was a mistake on the part of hotels.com (apparently), and he was rudely accusatory that I was the one in the wrong and implied that I was not showing him enough gratitude. I was not rude, merely stating that I had in fact already paid for my stay online during booking (the point at dispute). I found and showed him my hotels.com confirmation of already having paid, but he did not apologise for being rude to me or calling me wrong; he merely tried to excuse and justify his previous behavior (which is not the same as an apology and which goes a long way in the world of customer service).

Initially allocated a room at the back of the building with a wall facing the window. Staff gave us an alternative room which was more spacious with a view overlooking a park

Very tiny room, staff friendly. Convenient location 400 feet from boardwalk. Breakfast average

I went for a family trip to Ostend. I was very happy with the service and staff. The room was clean, the breakfast was very good and fresh. A easy walk to town, or the tram stop was 50 metres away. I would use again.

overnight stay. great help from reception on booking in (got early check in, "thank you") . Hotel has own private parking around corner (underground) which might be a bit daunting for some , especially elderly. However hotel is great , totally refurbed , modern, bright clean decor. Bathrooms a nice size. Only gripe is you can't sit by the window and watch the TV too easily as the flat screen is not movable for easy viewing. Good location in town, very short walk to beachfront . Very good breakfast : choice and quality. Would use again.

Nice days at ramada ostend the breakfast is good and peole friendly

This is our third time staying at ramada and we think we should have been informed about the refurb going on booked a double room had 2 single beds booked smoking room had non smokeing room and we like having evening meal but couldn't as we don't like pasts and that's all we could have breakfast was not good as we don't like having breakfast in reseption we are very disappointed

We stopped at Oostende overnight on the way to Spa, and just needed somewhere to crash for a night. The hotel was lovely though, had a twin room which although wasnt spacious, was perfectly big enough for two adults, and the location was an easy walk to the marina/bars/nightlife. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Location very good. The hotel needs refurbishment, the rooms are tired. Staff not that friendly felt like everything was an effort. I spend time away on business in Europe so I feel I have a good experience in judgement. I would not use this hotel from choice

Stayed in a newly refurbished room, very small, bathroom 2mtrs X 1mtr, MINISCULE!!, No carpet on floor, just vinyl, beds very strange.
