The Sherwood Palm Hotel, Torquay Beach

Room not fit for purpose, curtains torn and not right sizes,bed base torn,shower hose broken, carpets dirty and stained, wardrobe damaged and holes in back,door frame damaged and screws showing, door lock, not working properly, communal areas dirty, dusty and carpets dirty and un-hovered, garden furniture broken and not fit for purpose.

The hotel was disgusting,I stayed for 1 night but I was meant to stay for 2,I should be refunded for the night I didn't stay

This hotel isn’t 3 star its a 1 star or lower. Budget hotels like travel lodge and premier inn are ten times better! There was no staff when we attended had to wait. The hotel is very run down no air con, towels, hand wash, soap, shampoo, daily bed making. The bed is shockingly bad springs coming out of the mattress pillows are non existent. Bulbs missing on lights. No lounge area as the ceiling has fallen apart so no access. Its a real shame as the building has potential to be great but its in dire state. The only benefit of this place is the location that is all.

Great location, very friendly staff. Room was clean , good thing is parking where you can still leave you car for rest of the day after check out. The owners should more worry about cleaness around the hotel but for this money to me it wasn't any issue.

The hotel was fine for our needs. The staff where very friendly and willing to help. The location was great with access to the town . the hotel is in the middle of upgrading which was fine all in all a great stay

It was a decent stay. However I found spiders and a slug in the room. Given that it was hot room was hot.

It was cheap and that was what the place was. There wasnt any toweks or washing things but towels were given when asked for stay were friendly and helpful. Lots of stairs no good for people with walking difficulties. Close to shops and beach which was what we wanted. Enjoyed our time there.

To be honest the hotel is in need of a complete refurbishment but our room was tidy, everything worked, the location of the hotel is first class, a short walk to shops, restaurants, the harbour and the beach, a four night stay in August, room only and free parking for just over £200.00 perfect 👍
