SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York JFK Airport/Jamaica

This hotel is amazing. It is clean, quite and free breakfast, We enjoyed our stay,

I arrived JFK around 11pm and texted for the Shuttle only to learn that the hotel was completely sold out and would not honor my reservation. They did nothing to help me secure a new reservation. I ended up having to pay much more and have to take Uber to and from for even more additional expense. It was a very unpleasant experience.

Chose this Marriott property because I especially needed late check out after a long flight and Titanium status gives that perk. This hotel would not honor it. Seems like they way overbook this property. Desk agent gave every excuse… it’s in the fine print. I show him the fine print.. well we are a convention property. So you host conventions here? Well all properties over 50 rooms are convention properties. Utter BS. If you read the reviews here it seems they don’t care since they probably don’t get repeat customers anyway. Spend your money somewhere else.

The hotel itself was beautiful. The room was clean and spacious. Parking was a nightmare. They have a parking garage but there are barely any spots and to enter the garage you have to call the front desk and wait for them to buzz you in. Not convenient in Queens

Very clean, new hotel. Breakfast was great with lots of hot options, fruit , cereals. We paid for parking and liked that it was a secure lot and easy to come and go. The only issue was that we didn’t feel comfortable with the closest subway station at night and ended up taking a Lyft to avoid walking there late at night.

This property did not have the type of room available that I booked even though I arrived early and called to confirm my room was assigned to me. I confirmed via phone around 4pm that I had a room on the 3rd floor with the front desk. I arrived at 1:30am from the US Open very tired only to find they had no room for me. I booked 2 queens and they best they could offer was to have a dirty King room cleaned for me.

The property was excellent however at. Night the area around the hotel did not feel safe.

It was a very nice facility when you got inside and everything was nice, clean & new. Not many restaurants nearby but I guess not that much of a problem. All and all a very nice stay.

Great place

I'm not sure what the connection is between this hotel and Marriott, but I'm certain the rooms aren't Suites. I'm also certain that this hotel resembles a prison, with many cameras and locked doors.
