Homewood Suites Harrisburg-West Hershey Area

I’m surprised this hotel has such good reviews. Our room was dirty. The carpet hasn’t been carpet cleaned in a very long time, you could tell by the marks of where people walk in and out of the bedroom and by the couch in the living room area. The shower and toilet were dirty and worn out and clearly need upgraded. I didn’t feel comfortable walking around the room with my shoes off just by the feel of the floor in each room. Staff at the front desk was nice. Didn’t use common area or have breakfast in the morning so can’t comment on that.

It was clean

Great front desk service. Avacyn provided us with an excellent check in experience. Room was very clean and spaceous. Pillows could’ve been more comfortable. Overall good experience. Breakfast area was clean and included a great variety.

Great property. Just out dated furniture and pool should get cleaned out daily too much bugs in water. Staff was awesome! Hotel just needs to be clean daily to many dead bugs everywhere.

The staff were very friendly !! Had some issues during breakfast with other visitors and the staff member we were telling about it said that if it happened again to immediately let a staff member know and they would immediately take care of the situation. Nice breakfast. The beds were very comfortable !!

The only thing that happened was the air conditioning went down and a pipe broke in the middle of the night so there was no hot water either. But, they worked as fast as they could to get it fixed.

It was a pleasant weekend

The toilet was clogged when we arrived and the fan over the bed had missing blades. For the price of the room I thought it would be kept up more.

Friendly staff

Room was comfortable, except for the sofa bed, which was creaky and uncomfortable. Staff competent and friendly, lobby pantry well-stocked with snacks and food (expensive). Nice pool and outdoor areas. Breakfast area open and welcoming, with decent breakfast buffet. Two pizza places in walking distance. This hotel appears to be an old motel that Hilton bought and refurbished so, while the rooms are fine, the hallways are dark and oppressive. Possibly the loudest ice machine on planet earth. Fitness center just free weights and walking machines. I was also a little concerned that all the entry doors for the rooms had heavy duty anti-pry hardware on them, which says less about the hotel and more about the neighborhood.
