"What a dump!"

What a dump! Pealing wallpaper, missing tiles, AC not working. The room smells like feet! Not what I expect from a Hampton Inn!

This hotel is unfortunately delabitated and needs good attention or upgrades. The 1 star is for the night shift gentleman who checked us in. He was welcoming and kind. We interacted with 2 front desk staff who were impatient and ineffective. The blind in our room was broken and couldn't be pulled down. I informed the front desk and asked if they could fix this for us. She said she'd inform maintenance, but didn't say anything else. We noticed it wasn't fixed when we came back, so I asked the front desk about when and if it could be fixed. This was a different staff and she said there was no way that the blind would be fixed as there was no maintenance staff that day, and they wouldn't fix it until we checked out. So, I asked if we could switch rooms. She was visibly annoyed at my request, but did look into the possibility. She then informed us that we needed to move out of the room, made sure it was clean before she could check us into a new room. At that point, my husband and I were disappointed and decided to just stay in our room. I am attaching a picture of our "solution" just so we can block some light in the morning. There must also be a shortage of housekeeping staff. Several rooms had their dirty towels and trash outside of their rooms. The floor in one elevator had syrupy spills from the morning and was never cleaned, so multiple sticky footprints blackened with dirt. We've been a traveling family for 20+ years and by and large Hilton clients. I've noticed the quality of services with economy brands under Hilton have deteriated quite significantly after covid and it's very much a hit-or-miss with them these days. I can empathize the stress on staff, so perhaps providing these reviews will help Hilton management to pay more attention.

The area surrounding the property was excellent for traveling with our dogs.

The garbage was overflowing by the hotel and smelled awful! We were booked for 2 nights. When we arrived at around 3:15 pm our room was not ready and we waited for almost an hour with our dogs to finally get a room. When we got to our room a whole sheet of wallpaper was peeling off the bathroom wall, the room smelled like someone had been smoking in it and the air conditioning did not work! It was over 90 degrees out that day. There was no other room available and no fans available! The staff was very apologetic and got us into another room around 11:00am the next day but we had to spend a horrible night with two dogs in a hot gross room. I think the staff does the best they can with the accommodations but this hotel needs some serious updating! I also feel that we should have not been charged for that first night!!!

Location, price

Toilet didnt flush or ran all night (this still happened after they fixed it) Bathroom sink was clogged Room was dirty Keys had 2 be reprogrammed 2xs during my stay. Continental breakfast was out of most items each time I went around 8am. Staff was nonchalant when I shared the info. Should have offered a new room by the 3rd time I was at the front desk. I've stayed mayn times before and had no issues.

Airport shuttle and proximity to airport was good

Lobby window smashed, peeling wallpaper in our room and lobby I had to ask if my Honors points were counted, no mention of them when I checked in.

Upon arrival, I noticed trash in the bushes, in lot and near entrance. Check in was smooth and he was very helpful suggesting things to do in the area. The room smelled clean. All appliances worked properly. The pool area was empty but dirty towels and food litter was strewn about. I passed on the pool and tub which are 2 things that made me choose this hotel vs others in the same price range. It was extremely late and when I pulled back the sheet/cover there was tiny black things that looked like either dead bugs or mouse poop. It looks like the mattress has never been cleaned/vacuumed. I slept very little as I slept in the chaise. As soon as the sun came out I immediately checked out. I am disappointed I spent $300 for 1 hotel night and the quality was so poor. Please note, I am not picky, I love to travel and have stayed in some doozies but I draw the line at having to sleep upright.

It's a good average hotel with some decent amenities.Clean but dated.Rug was a little musty.The staff made it spectacular.All were nice,helpful and for that alone,I'd stay again.
