Fairfield Inn & Suites Austin University Area

Even though this property was undergoing a renovation it was exactly what we needed. Clean and reasonably priced, complementary breakfast was an added bonus. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

It was a good stay but they didn't do room service and i requested in the morning before living the hotel

The only issues on cleanliness or anything were due to the renovations going on. Can't be mad at that.

This hotel is currently in the process of being renovated. We were given an already renovated suite. I have no idea what corporate is thinking, but the new design is awful. The room was cold and austere looking. It is obvious that cutting costs was tops in the mind of the corporate remodel designer. There is now only one nightstand on one side of the king bed, with a gaping space on the other. We ended up getting a cardboard box from a store and using it as a nightstand so there would be a place to set a phone and a water bottle. There is no longer a clock in the room. No longer a luggage rack. No longer a pad and paper on the desk. The desk lamp is dim and only illuminates a third of the desk area. Our suite was lacking a microwave. There was no extra pillow or blanket in the closet, and our room was very cold. I have no idea who was paid to design this remodel, but it is awful. On the plus side, the staff at the front desk were wonderful and the hotel was clean and quiet.

We arrived to check-in around 10:30pm, but i needed to pee and the lady in front desk with a very rude expression said, there is not public restroom here! If you want to pee go somewhere else

Do note at the moment. They are undergoing renovations but I still had a pleasant stay

Nice room. Nice area to have breakfast. I would suggest to have the newspaper.

Breakfast does not keep up the supply....lots of customers in the morning and breakfast ran outyet no one resupply anything...the hotel condition does not live up the brand

Nice room, good water pressure in shower.

When I booked the room I specifically looked for a hotel with an indoor pool. When I arrived at the hotel the manager informed me that the pool was closed. It should be on the website if its pool is not going to be available. Otherwise I would have found a different booking
