OYO Hotel Mt. Vernon KY - Renfro valley/I-75

The price is low compared to a lot of other hotel’s in the area.

The stay at OYO Mt Vernon was good. The mgmt went out of their way to make me comfortable. I will stay there again.

Shower has only 1 temperature - cold. It literally had nobway to turn any other temp - just on or off. There used to be handles to adjust that, but they were recently removed and replaced with one knob that didnt turn. The bath faucet also was coming out of the wall, so if you want to take a shower or clean up, go elsewhere.

I was looking for a cheap spot to stay when I needed to stop driving for the night, and that’s all this was. Attention to detail in cleaning the room was lacking. I encountered several stray hairs in the shower from a prior guest, there was a pair of gloves draped over the shower head, and one of the waste baskets had not been emptied prior to my stay. The bathroom fan was covered in black dust and had clearly not been wiped off in some time. I stripped the bed before I left, not so much to help the staff, but to ensure that the next guest would definitely get fresh sheets. You get what you pay for, and I consider this a lesson-a clean room is worth a few extra bucks.

When we walked in it was dirty!! Sink and bathrooms had hair all over it. Mirrors were never cleaned. Floors needed vacuumed and mopped. I was very dissatisfied. The smell of the room was like feet. Won’t return at this location

The curtains had holes from cigarettes. The bathtub ledge had what I assume was cigarette burns. One beds sheet holes in it. The other had a blue stain on it. None of showered or bathe because the bathtub looked so old a d rusty. The handsoap wouldnt lather it was just sticky. The sitting chair was stained black and the desk chairs fake leather was half gone. If we hadnt struggled to fine a hotel we would've left in a heartbeat, but slept, woke up and left immediately. We slept fully clothed and our sons used their own blankets.

We were in a bind a had to stay here, as it was the only place with vacancy, it was gross and we wildent stay again.

The room smelled like ass like someone had just left. Also the carpet hasnt been cleaned in month's maybe years. We had no soap no toilet paper. The shower was dirty. The property looked ran down. Overall i would rate it a negative 20 if i could. Not happy at all and i will never use the hotel again in any state because of this one property

Very basic hotel,but you get what ya pay for.i recomend if ya just want a place to stay for a night.location was fine one exit south of Renfro valkey.
