La Ceiba Tree Lodge

Sergio and his family were charming hosts! The lodge is secluded and peaceful in the rainforest above the lake with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The Ceiba Tree itself is spectacular. Breakfast was delicious every day, premium coffee and fresh, home-cooked food. We also reserved a three course dinner with wine one night and it was absolutely delicious. Room was cute and comfortable and there was a wonderful covered patio. Can't say enough about how lovely our stay was. We definitely plan to return in the future.

Beautiful setting, location, vibe, and restaurant. Hosts Sergio and Malady were gracious and accommodating. A wonderful experience. They touched our hearts.

The property was absolutely beautiful! The grounds were lush and inviting. Lots of different trees and flowers.

Put softer lighting in the rooms.

Was a fabulous location in the rain forest with the most helpfull and friendly host, great service and attention to detail, the food cooked for us was outstanding quality Very relaxing atmosphere Beautifull scenery of the rainforest and saw amazing birds and trees and plants Lovely tea with breakfast made from the herbs in the garden and fresh coffee brewed at your table This was our second time here as we came in 2020 just before Covid and the new owners have done wonders with the place since then ! The place has a proper authentic Costa Rica theme and we would definately stay again visiting this area Thanks to Sergio and team for a lovely few days stay Wendy and Jay

I liked everything about it but one small improvement I would suggest ( especially for us British guests) 😂 is some hot beverage making facilities as we love our cups of tea or coffee first thing and I did miss that getting up in the mornings and in the evenings not being able to make one !! And also maybe a little fridge or cool box facility to keep a couple of beers in or milk for hot drinks

This place is just amazing. Super friendly staff and premium nature all around you. To top it off you’re next to this ancient beautiful tree.

Great location, but is better to rent a car to get there. Was not a problem for us, beacause we have a car. Parking available and free. Amazing view to the lake. Great garden in front of our terrace. Cleanleness. Good breakfast with an amazing tea made with plants harvested from garden. Gorgeous view from the breakfast terrace. We received an upgrade for the room, which it was great, so we were very pleased for that. Great staff. Definetely I recommend this place to everyone hwo want to enjoy the nature and feel the real vibe of Costa Rica
