Sunscape Puerto Vallarta Resort

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! Total waste of money!! The front desk cannot care less about you or anything you need. They say they are a family hotel but don’t give a crap about or your kids. They will just smile and nod until you go away. Total disrespect !

While the resort itself is dated and the amenities are average, I want to give a special shout-out to Emmanuel at the Marketing desk. We had the opportunity to chat with him across from the check-in counter, and he was wonderful. He is highly knowledgeable about the hospitality landscape in Mexico and offered us valuable advice. His professional demeanor and perfect English made our interaction seamless and enjoyable. Thank you, Emmanuel, for your expertise!"

When we arrived we were hesitant as we’d been to Riu Jalisco twice before including Christmas last year. The pool water seemed murky, and there were less waves, and much less options for food. By end of day 1 we started to adore the place. Our 21, 18, and 16 year old made friends with the younger staff. (Shout to Sergio, Christian, Jocelyn, Nielsen, and Jorge) They made the trip for the kids! We had so much fun and I thank them for working so hard so we could celebrate Christmas with them. They are awesome! Rooms are small than we were used to but we were only in approximately one hour in the day other than sleeping. Drinks were really good! Italian had good pizza and pasta but lacked air conditioning so it was hard to have an appetite. Through the holidays the Seaside Shack was only open maybe 1 day and I think the Tiki was only open a couple days. The 3/5 of us rated the buffet 7-8 /10, the other 2 were 3-4. Keycards on the wristband were game changing! Daytime entertainment through out the day was age appropriate for our kids. (Jualisco was definitely geared to ward younger). Blackjack, cooking classes, Zumba, water aerobics, kayaking, beach volleyball… evening performances were entertaining. (Both resorts could start their shows a bit sooner!) We all decided we would definitely come again, especially to revisit friends made.

all the entertainers were super friendly! Nilson and christian were amazing :) great dancers too. i had a great time!!!!!

I would recommend this for families with kids ,not for couples. Walking distance to a shopping mall and local restaurants. You don’t get a lot of brand name spirit options, mostly house brands so if you’re looking for brand name spa this is not a good hotel. They were adding a second elevator so it looked very messy in that area. Staff was great and wee constantly cleaning the property. Facility overall needs a little TLC to live up to the brand.

Staff friendly and helpful, most of them were fun with the kids. The waterpark made the trip for our 3 year old however the hotel needs major maintenance and upgrades and the pool was dirty/cloudy and really gross! For a trip to see your kids have fun for the affordable price it is worth it if you’re the type of person who can turn a blind eye to the state of the hotel

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta is an older property, but it is set on a very beautiful beach, it is close to downtown. and every one of the employees at the resort goes above and beyond to make your stay fabulous. There is a nice variety of food at each meal, a large pool, and a variety of activities and shows. UVC representative Carolina was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely return again sometime in the future!

Had a good vacation at resort.not a 4 star but definitely a 3 star. Beach was rocky but nice. Entertainment great, staff great. Buffet was horrible!! 3 stars hotels in cuba have more variety than here in buffet!!! A la cart restaurant was good, italian was amazing only negative no kids under 8yr old allow, which is a big negative for a family resort!! If you get a good deal go, cause overall all it was a good vacation. More positives than negatives.

Its our first time in the hotel, I liked the food in restaurant the rooms are clean and nice the activity kayak with Sergio from entertainment was amazing and I loved it a lot I recommend this hotel

Nilson and Sergio were absolutely amazing at keeping a great vibe and getting everyone up to dance! wonderful energy! thanks so much :) 10/10 Hotel has been great for activity’s every night, thankful for the staff for always being pleasant and amazing!
