Wyndham Springfield City Centre

Rooms good, clean good mattress. Poor hot water in shower. I don't think I would stay here again, 2 or three elevators out of operation. Seems bit run down first impression. I was disappointed, expected a 5 star hotel being Downtown Springfield,

My only main complaint is that is you live with in 20 miles they charge you an extra $250 fee deposit and that is not on the website when you make the reservation. I was not prepared nor is that an accurate fee.

There were a few concerns the parking garage is access right to the hotel and anyone could come in to the hotel. A gentleman said to my daughter and said Hurry along and made us nervous. The room was 62 degrees the heat didn't work. The carpet was filthy. Stains everywhere. The staff was very nice!

Older hotel. No fan or fully closing bathroom door (barn sliding door), no hooks or towel bar. The worst was no hot or warm water in the shower. Comfortable bed, good tv, and great view.

Our room smelled so bad. It smelled like a stale ashtray. However, with being under a time crunch for a wedding when we arrived, we were unable to take the time to address this with staff at check in, because we had to immediately leave to go to the wedding. By the time we got back, with our young daughter, it was too late in the evening to request changes and we were stuck with a gross smelling room.

Just went to DSI banquet at the Wyndham. What an amazing time. The food was excellent. The staff was very professional and courteous to everyone. The Wyndham should be your host destination for all of your events. Also, a dear friend held a celebration of life here and had the same experience. Great experience! !

The overall experience was just okay. The hotel outside appearance was nice. Navigation of the building was somewhat confusing at first. The rooms was acceptable. View from room was very nice. Building amenities were subpar in comparison to listing.

They had hidden deposit fee

This is an older high rise hotel in downtown Springfield. I'm sure it has flown many flags in the past. But overall the hotel is fine. The rooms are somewhat dated but clean and quiet - and very large. Sure the hotel needs updating, but not to the point of it being "gross" or so dirty dirty that you cannot enjoy the stay. If you are expecting a Hyatt - stay at a Hyatt. I am sure this property will likely see upgrades soon given the location downtown and near everything Springfield has to offer. It is just a huge property overall.
