Lotus Beach Hotel - Adults Only

This was our second time to the island and our second time staying at Lotus. I cannot imagine coming back and staying anywhere else. I have traveled to a lot of places and stayed at a lot of places. Some were great and others not so much lol but I have never written a review good or bad until my first time here and yet here I am again writing my second review ever and it's for this hotel. There are not enough words to describe this place. I literally cried when I had to leave. Besides the fact that it's in the best location, besides the fact that it has amazing food and drinks, besides the fact that the accommodations are amazing. The STAFF is what sets this place apart. I can't describe it, you have to experience it for yourself.

The setting is gorgeous! Located on an unbelievable beach with crystal clear turquoise water.

Absolutely terrible value for money. My rating would be a lot higher if we paid half the price and the hotel was 3 or 4 stars (which is personally what I would have rated it) The floors in the room were dirty and the decor was not exactly luxurious. You have to faff with towel tokens for the beach which really is nothing I’ve ever experienced at a 5 star resort before. The drinks are way overpriced. Breakfast is supposedly included but it’s a measly continental breakfast. If you want anything hot or even a cappuccino it’s an extra cost. On top of the expensive drinks etc, we would always tip the staff a generous 20% but were still asked on check out if we wanted to leave a tip for the team. Not professional.

We’ve stayed here so many times that it becomes hard to count, honestly. As very frequent travelers to Mexico, you just know “home” when you find it and Lotus hits the mark every time. Alex and every member of staff have become family at this point and we couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else on the island. Incredible location, stunning views and even better human beings making every aspect of your stay better than you could ever imagine.

Everything was absolutely perfect except for the water pressure from the faucet was too strong.

From the moment we walked in and were greeted by name, we felt at home at Lotus for the week! The accommodations are beautiful and clean. The location is HEAVEN and the staff are kind, funny, notice little details and are incredibly accommodating. We’re already planning our next trip back.

It was right next to the busiest beach. Lovely sandy beach and shallow waters. During the weekend it was so packed .

Booking.com mislead us, marking this as a 5 star hotel when it's not. This is a 3-star hotel. The price is, however, for a 5 star hotel. For over 500euros per night, you would expect to get a top of the range resort on Bed and Breakfast. The building is very old, made from low quality materials. It needs a serious renovation. The breakfast was very, very poor. It didn't include even the basics such as cheese and ham and espresso or cappuccino etc.

We loved our stay at Lotus Beach Hotel! A few highlights: the beach is steps away from their amazing beach club, Guru Beach Club; the staff is attentive and accommodating (shout out to Karen and Martha); the hotel is small and adults only so it’s pretty quiet and a great place to unwind; easy to access food and bars nearby. Thank you for a great stay!

Lovely small property. The property is very clean and the staff are the friendliest! 10/10 would recommend.
