Bahia Tolok

From the moment we walked in we knew we’d be happy to be here. It’s a short 3-5 minute golf cart/taxi ride from the ferry station. About a 15 minute walk to a beautiful beach with clear waters and there’s a little restaurant and bar right in the dock. Which the hotel has some hammocks on the dock and in the water. We loved going out in the morning and at night to see the sea life. The front desk attendants were amazing. Specially Ernesto at the front desk and the restaurant staff were super attentive. Such a little gem.

Nothing. The pool and the water were great. The drinks were super solid.

Everyone was really nice and helpful

Disappointed with the Lack of Hospitality We were really looking forward to our stay at Bahia Tolok, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The room we were given faced the street and was extremely noisy — we had traffic sounds and barking dogs keeping us up. We politely asked if we could move to a quieter room and were shocked when they told us we’d have to pay for another full night, at a rate higher than what we originally paid. We even offered to forfeit our 1000 pesos deposit just to make a change, but the staff wouldn’t budge or offer any kind of help or compromise. We didn’t feel heard or valued as guests. In the end, we packed our things and left at 10 p.m. to stay somewhere else. It’s a shame, because the property itself seemed promising. But the lack of flexibility and basic hospitality made it a place I wouldn’t recommend — especially if you’re looking for a restful experience or staff willing to work with you in good faith.

Outside and decking was beautiful especially for the sunset. Staff were extremely helpful and polite

The room was huge and comfortable. The beds were also very comfortable. We only stayed here one night but would stay longer next time. Loved the vibe there, was well decorated and quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

There isn't any beach, but we knew that when we booked it. So really, there's nothing to not like about this place.

A dream location! Ernesto is incredible, sweet and helpful always stepping up and going above and beyond. The restaurant is very good, great service and we spotted a couple of sting rays and barracudas in the evening. They have a singer on Saturday evening. Sunsets are breathtaking. We couldn’t have been happier ❤️

The room and the outdoor areas were really nice.

We like to cook some of our own meals and part of the reason for choosing the location was that it had a kitchen. It was however not really useful for a family of 4, as it only had cutlery, etc. for 2 people, no bowls or pots, but only 2 pans, which could only be used one at a time due to the size of the stove.

My family and I had a fantastic week-long stay at Bahia Tolok! The staff and the service they provide are exemplary. Mirna went out of her way from start to finish; working with me to book the perfect room, WhatsApping room photos, pre-reserving a golf cart, to arranging our snorkel excursion and even lending us a cooler for our day on the water! (Awesome snorkel trip btw!) The rest of the staff, too, were always ready with a warm smile, eager to assist us in any way. Our room was simple, clean, and had the most comfortable beds! We enjoyed our morning coffees on the balcony. The hotel offers daily fresh towels and cleaning if you want it. Our 2 daughters were thrilled with the creative towel animals! The salt water pool is refreshing, and the grounds are lovingly attended to. The atmosphere is calm, quiet, and relaxing. We enjoyed a delicious sunset meal at the restaurant, sitting directly on the dock, over looking the water, and with live music! 3 of us are vegan, and the chef came to our table several times to discuss options. Our waiter, Brian, was attentive and took great care of us. It was an evening to remember. The hotel is located mid-island. Walkers can enjoy heading south to explore the local neighborhood, with restaurants, bars, and fruit/veggies stands, close by. The golf cart we rented through the hotel was fantastic, and we used it daily to explore the island. Thank you, Bahia Tolok, we will stay with you again ❤️
