Hampton Inn Harrisonburg - University

This is a nice location with a few restaurants within walking distance. The area is safe and very close to the interstate as well. The room was quite nice and very clean.

Hotel staff was very nice. Close to the interstate as we were only passing through.

There was one person at the desk and three of us waiting. He was very nice and accommodating. One elevator was out but not a big deal. The room showed a lot of wear. Rug was old, furniture looked like it came from a garage sale, there was a hole in the couch arm which was very worn down too. The room could stand a coat of paint. The bathroom appeared clean but the old fashioned tub with shower curtain was dated and didn't do a good job of keeping water off of the floor. The caulking around the tub needed updating. The bed was okay and linens appeared clean. The breakfast facilities also showed wear. We arrived for breakfast at 9:00 and there were no eggs and the oatmeal was gloppy. I had to add hot water to make it edible. Eggs weren't replenished for 15 minutes. Apparently front desk staff was taking care of the breakfast area? Anyway this facility needs an update in the lobbies and the rooms. I'm disappointed in Hilton.

OLD AND OUTDATED- small rooms, gross brown decor and carpet. Worn down furniture, thin and coarse towels and linens. Ripped curtains. Light only one one side of the king sized bed- like totally dark in that corner unless the bathroom light was on. Dirty and worn out ironing board. Decay around the baseboards and carpet areas. Would NEVER stay here again. Glad it was only for one night. We stayed here as a prepaid group so we had no choice. I’m Gold with Hilton and would avoid this place at all costs. Uncomfortable and worn out bed with crappy pillows. Dark and depressing. Even wear and tear in the elevator, one of which is broken. Staff is very nice though. Just a crappy, old, dark, dreary, worn out hotel. Maybe good for college students, but I wouldn’t let my kid stay here. Almost NONE of the outlets worked or would hold my charging block- kept falling out of the outlets. Old, broke down dirty couch in the room with flattened cushions. Did I mention the terrible, worn out bed?? Tiny maybe 32 inch tv- old flat screen, not even the kind with streaming services.

The manager was at the front desk and gave me a room with a broken AC. When I came back to the front desk to let the her know about the issue. She didn't apologized and just gave me another room. However, that one hasn't electricity! When I came back for second time she asked me if I checking out in a very rude mood. I told her I need a room because the lights didn't work in the room. She gave me another room without telling me a word. The room was in the second floor and the elevator didn't work, the room was a double full instead a double queen and the sink was clogged. I didn't complain again because the staff and the hotel are really bad. I'll will submit a complaint to booking to get the price difference between my reservation and the room they gave me

Room and hotel needs refurbished. This Hampton Inn did not meet the quality standards that I expect from Hilton!

It was an easy location.

The room was terrible! You could barely get in the doorway it was so narrow for luggage. The bathroom was tiny, the toilet ran most of the night until my husband fixed it. There was water damage in the ceiling of the bathroom. The bed was like sleeping on a board. There was no maid service during our stay and I had to ask for a roll of toilet paper and extra towels. Will not be back! I expect more from Hampton Inn.
