Great central Edinburgh hotel with amazing staff

Clean rooms, good size and excellent location.

We chose Radisson Blu after our AirBnB was cancelled within days of our vacation beginning - crisis averted! This hotel is ideally located and has friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. We could not have landed in a better spot!

The hotel is located on the Royal Mile which made getting to central tourist locations extremely easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We did encounter a couple of problems, when we got to our room the bath was half full of water due to a leaking tap, a light was loose in its fitting and the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied since the last occupant left. Also only 2 out of the 3 lifts were working so during busy periods you did have to wait; and the restaurant menu was a little limited but it was very well cooked. Breakfast was a choice and there was lots of it, the only niggle were the bacon and sausages were only cooked on one side. A good hotel to sty at if you are only visiting central Edinburgh

Modern hotel right on the Royal Mile. Friendly staff and very good breakfast with a lot of variety. Room had good modern features such as bedside reading lights and many convenient charging plugs. One negative was that there are three elevators, each of which is very small and there was always one or two out of the three that was out of service. Excellent location with easy walk to tourist and culture attractions, and to the university of Edinburgh.

Amazing location, and great for parking.

This hotel is a good location on the Royal Mile for the sights of Edinburgh. Close to the train station and many coffee shops and restaurants. The staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay again.

Great location right in the heart of Edinburgh. Lovely staff and clean, quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Do not and I mean do not stay at this hotel unless you have too. Great location and that’s it, that’s all you are paying for. Rooms are slightly better than most generic hotel chains, who has a shower with half of it covered so water goes everywhere. It took 15-20 minutes just to get an elevator, place is falling apart as 1 elevator was down and another was working half the time. Went to the restaurant and couldn’t get any service, even spoke to the front desk about it and even after that got no service, finally just left. The staff make you fell like you are unwanted. Do not stay at this place unless you have too.
