Riverwalk Plaza

Riverwalk Plaza Hotel was ok. I like that it’s walking distance from the Riverwalk where you can find a bunch of restaurants. I asked for a room by the river but it didn’t look the way I expected. Maybe throw those views in the hotel listings. The hotel looks up to date at a glance but there are little things that could use improvement. Everything in our room looked nice until I pulled out the desk chair and noticed the material was falling apart. Also, I want to add we were placed next to a very obnoxious family. Their kid/s were so loud. We could hear them through the walls and it sounded like they were running in the halls a few different times. In the middle of the night we also heard loud noises outside our room. And in the morning I could hear people talking right outside our door saying something happened with the ice machine and they were going to check cameras??? The hotel did text me before arriving, a few times to check in and after leaving. I wasn’t happy to pay for parking in addition to my stay but it is what it is. Overall, it was an interesting stay. I would like to say the coffee shop makes excellent coffee.

Check in was quick and easy it was a little strange that we weren't allowed to checking until 4pm and then it was a strict check out at 11am. We did ask if we could check out late but it wasn't permitted. The hotel is beautiful and we had a great time exploring San Antonio.

Convenient, safe, spacious location to the Riverwalk. We always have a consistently great stay at the Riverwalk Plaza ♥️

The staff was friendly and helpful and the lobby was beautiful. There is a great coffee shop too. But the rooms were lacking. The bathrooms were truly unacceptable. It’s hard to describe but it was something out of the 70s. It looked like they tried to update the bedroom but honestly the whole room was just tired. If they would give their rooms a refresh it would have been 5 stars.

Quick 3 night stay was amazing! Room was clean and comfortable. Pool was nice, warm and plenty of towels on the pool deck. Right across the street from the start of the riverwalk ment we weren't too far from the fun but had none of the noise or traffic. Staff was amazing, especially Riley in the coffee shop! Rates were great and valet made eveything super easy. Would recommend and stay again!

Love it! Right above the riverwalk! Clean and comfortable beds. For the price it was well worth the money very reasonable. I would stay there again if I came back into town it was very lovely.

Denise at the The Gavel made an awesome smoked old fashion and was super friendly! It was our groups first time in San Antonio and she shared a bunch of the history.

Denise at the Gavel is awesome! Her drinks are legit! Smoked old fashions are top notch and spicy margaritas were great!

We’re locals that frequent the Gavel (the restaurant attached to the hotel), and it’s amazing! Denise makes the best smoked old fashioned’s I’ve ever had. Highly recommend to guests and locals!

Had a nice time celebrating my birthday. This hotel was super convenient, very clean, and smelled wonderful!! I’d love to know what scent they use! The amenities were good- I especially enjoyed the coffee shop downstairs. The room was nice. We faced the street and could see the city which was nice. The trains woke me up during the night though. I have to say the best part of my trip was the service I received from Leo (all the valets were good), but Leo not only remembered me, but remembered my name and my car. He was quick to help when my son needed to get his phone charger out of the car and was smiling and a joy to speak with each time! Thank you again Leo!
