The Saxon Inn

A great pub b and b The rooms are really quiet at night so we had a good sleep before enjoying a fabulous full English breakfast at only £10 per head. The pub has a nice atmosphere with good quality cheap beer, (£4 a pint), and reasonably priced wine with dinner. Speaking of dinner we had the best tasting homemade steak pie I've ever had and the home made chips were outstanding. Highly recommended for a short break in the area, can't fault it 😁

It was much quieter than I expected, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Was hoping to find some real ales at the bar, but didn't have any. Bedroom walls aren't very soundproof :-)
